Moving out of nyc in two months and to another country for a year on work.
Need to wrap up my apartment and stuff quickly

Looking for suggestions on:
1) Sell furniture with ease. Most pieces are west elm less than 2 years old.
2) Lease transfer and lease break suggestions
3) Selling equipment and silverware

Where is your current apt, monthly rate, and when is the lease set to expire? I’ve seen a few posts in this bowl of people looking for apts.

Offerup - used it when I moved twice and super convenient.

Most lease breaks will say until you find a replacement or the duration of the lease. However if you ask management it’s usually 1-3 months. You can write a letter letting them know you have a new job outside of the country and they may be more forgiving

I’ve used it in nyc no problem. This was a few years ago though

Curious what you have? Looking to furnish an entire 1bedroom for March

I have everything bed-dresser-side tables from , dining table set from west elm. Also couch, TV, Entryway bench, cutlery from bed bath & west elm. Yet to start listing them on marketplace- but will offer up a great deal for bulk sale :). DM me

Going to be hard selling the furniture unless you can deliver or it’s small item size . No one has a car here to come pick it up and asking others to schedule movers is a headache with only 2 weeks notice

Interested in some info about your apartment, please DM me!

Anyone here that’s moved from a HCOL or MCOL city to a LCOL city? In the process of doing that now and can work remotely making the higher base of the bigger city. Hi everyone !

I am trying to relocate in London, as a Legal Counsel in Privacy.

The opportunities there seems more interesting in terms of missions and financially. I had interviews for companies but one obstacle keeps coming up: I am not a qualified lawyer because is it not necessary to be one when you’re an in house in France.

I do have 2,5 years of experience as a Legal Counsel in Privacy and strong referrals.

Do you maybe have any tips to help me :) ?

Many thanks!

I’ve been dating this guy who works in IB for 2 month now and I really like him but he’s the worse texter I’ve ever dealt with. It usually takes him 6-24 hours to respond to a simple message. Sometimes I even forget the topics of our conversations because of how long it takes for him to answer. I understand that he works long hours but is he really THAT busy or just not interested?

I had a burglary in my apartment. Didn’t take any electronics (from what we can see) but probably took check books and small jewelry.
