I am a Principal Solutions Architect with 13 YOE of which 5 years exp is with Biotech focusing on Public Cloud (AWS) & overall AWS exp. 9 years. I need suggestions /opinions if applying for a Senior Solutions Architect (Level6) at AWS makes sense or if I should aim for a Principal SA (level 7) role at AWS with Healthcare & Lifesciences industry experience. If it makes any difference, I worked for AWS ProServe as an external SA in the past. Any insights / feedback appreciated.

hey folks, I am going to join Oracle ossi in Hyderabad location. I have never been to Hyderabad, and will be relocating. Please guide on what would be good areas to look for rent. Also, what would be rent like for 2/3 bhk. Ideally my budget for rent would be <25k. Initially I will be going but in future my family will join me once I am settled. Any points to note or any other gotcha to keep in mind ? Please suggest.

Dogs do not cost that much
How do you spend so much on a dog every year?
Why go to nyc? Its a great city but plenty of lower cost cities to live in where you dont have to worry about the cost of living?
(I get how silly this sounds, but once i moved outta nyc to other cities i havent looked back)
Ah my bad, thought you were traveling/consultant space
15k/year???? What kind of dog are you getting?

Not sure how much people usually spend on food per month, or how much discretionary spending should be accounted for
How old are u op and how much do u save per month
110k at 23 is fairly attainable with tech so I imagine they’re in tech - their handle says they’re a data scientist so I imagine that’s it

Get pet insurance. And will you need a dog walker at some point?
Rising Star
Likely will need a walker for lunch time walks, also accounting $ for training and stuff
You can’t afford it at those rates. But dog should cost less and u need some roommates
You could probably make it work if living alone and having an expensive pet will make you happiest, but you'd have to be realistic about whether you could spend much more modestly in other areas (ex: food, transport, vacations, entertainment, shopping etc). Personally, I feel like New York is a pick 1-3 priorities to ball out on and be frugal in other areas you care less about type of situation.
Dogs don’t cost 1/2 that much. Maybe 1/3
Your spend account will double too. Why bother with moving and the dog at the same time ? Move and feel things out for a little bit.

2k for rent with a salary that big is easy peasy
I'm sorry OP, you're making $116k and are wondering if you can afford to live on your own... I hope the silver spoon hurts on the way out, the amount of privilege here is surreal
OP is literally 23, fresh outta college. They don’t say anything extremely entitled and instead are turning to this community for advice to make sure they’re not mis-planning anything/under calculating costs (now how OP has actually
Over calculated sure you can attribute to them being given a silver spoon/sheltered...or just very cautious when it comes to finances). I don’t think this comment is deserved or fair to op, and smells with jealousy a little bit
