Thank god no!
Because you can’t allow “well behaved” dogs only, and there are already enough ill behaved humans on public transportation. You’ll see when you get here.
Get a car and spare your cute puppy and yourself the awful experience of riding the L or the bus :)

I took public transportation in Chicago for 10 years, every day, and I’ve seen it all including people emptying their bowels on the train.
I wasn’t privileged enough to live in Lincoln Park or River North where you only have 3 or 4 stops into the Loop. But I didn’t live in a poor area either.
My ride was 45 minutes, one way. When I was 44 I bought a car and two years later I stopped taking public because I couldn’t take it anymore.
What’s privileged is to talk about Chicago as if you know it when you only roam within 3 miles downtown.
Their website says "Transporting animals except in a closed and secure small container designed for travel that is carried by one person and which can fit under seat, or a service animal" is prohibited
Omg don't just pay to call it a support animal

Public transport is disgustingly dirty and dangerous at off hours here. Dogs would add a new dimension of crazy if allowed.

Fair!
not something people do in this city.

Also, I’ve got the answer I needed now!
Yes, I’ve taken my dog on the train multiple times.
