Great city. Lots of great suburbs. Revitalized downtown. Decent airport. Some really good schools. It’s legit. Would recommend.
As someone who really loved cbus, I do think it’s different but also a very cool place. Lots of very cool historic neighborhoods that have been revitalized. Have several friends who made the move from cbus to CLE and really fell in love w it.
Grew up in Cleveland and we called it the “mistake by the lake” and life was boring af but I hear things took off for the better when lebron came back. It was not very diverse so I’d never raise my kids in such a homogenous place-I want them to grow up around other different people from different cultures and backgrounds.
What about dressage barns?
Love Cleveland. Would move back in a heartbeat.
The suburbs are a much better option for living long term and for good schooling. Live there and travel into the city for work and the entertainment it offers.
Although the city is being revitalized, it still has a long way to go.
Hudson has some of the best public schools in the country and Western Reserve Academy is right there too, in case you’d like to go private. Love the restaurant Aladdin’s in downtown Hudson. Excellent Medeterrean food has great prices. Good luck!
Lots of fun suburbs with great public schools as others have mentioned. Off the top of my head: Hudson, Solon, Shaker, and then some Westside towns as well (Rocky River, Avon Lake, etc). Otherwise, great private schools with varying price tags. Loved my time there --will likely move back longterm
