3k budget for a one bedroom? Greenwich Village, Upper West Side, Upper East Side, East Village. Two bedroom? Lower Park Slope, western Crown Heights, Clinton Hill, Gowanus, west Harlem, Forest Hills (for a long, but no-transfer commute)

As someone who lives in forest hills, consider moving closer. Just feel so far out of the way. Recommend Long Island City or maybe Greenpoint also

I second Upper West Side!

Brooklyn. Dumbo, crown heights, Carroll gardens. Check areas along the 2/3, B/Q lines.

Manhattan is small. Everywhere Downtown (South of 14th St) is close to grocers, cafes, bakeries and butchers. For a European vibe that’s walking distance to FiDi (Financial District) look in SoHo, Nolita, West Village, LES (Lower East Side) and TriBeCa. Nolita and LES are near Chinatown if you want really cheap, fresh groceries. Brooklyn is a good backup. Or worth considering for your second apartment after you’ve tried Manhattan and gotten to know the city after a year or so.

Brooklyn heights, cobble hill

Yorkville, we live on 90/2nd Ave. Great public schools, walk to everything, Central Park, Carl Schurz Park, Ruppert Park, tonssss of cafes and restaurants, Q line, super fast and easy to downtown and all points west/outer boroughs. Walkable. Safe. Diverse. DM me if you want more information. We have two kids and 2 dogs. AND A YARD. ♥️

Second that! 85th and York for the past two years and love it. You can even take the 90th Street Ferry to FiDi

Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill or Parkslope 🤘

Anywhere in Manhattan is safe. Most of West and some south BK too

Just be careful how “upper” you go on the west side. Listings can be deceiving.

Help: The 2 interviews in this round are a week apart, I just had the 2nd interview and realized I didn’t send a thank you note to the 1st interviewer… is it better to only send to 2nd interviewer or send a one-week late thank you note to 1st interviewer?

What do MBA grads do at tech firms? The data on any B-School's website says that consulting pays more than tech to MBA grads, however, going by the threads on this app, it seems as if tech pays more. Does the website data not include RSUs? Or does consulting actually pay more? Thanks a lot for your time and effort!

I know I posted 3 wks ago about house #4. But a week later I got the inspection report & it was a no go. Lesson learned. But this house I AM buying. I close in about 2 wks. 1st column: The #s w/current tenant till June. We won't renew the lease. Instead we'll rehab the inside; ~$7k, then raise the rent to match the market. Using coulmn #2, total monthly cashflow of all homes is $1,186mo. Initial goal is $20.5K/$1,708 mo. Almost there! If we can rent it for $1.1Kmo (column 3)...AWESOME!

Looking for advice on the next step. So I started at my company just over 2 years ago as an entry level Sales admin with a split role and at the beginning of this year I moved fully into Sales Support and I'm kind of at a point where I coordinate and support the activity of my team, I fully process all orders and manage/maintain our CRM system, provide monthly & quarterly reports for our senior management team. Is this it? Am I at the top end of this role and need to ask for more progression?
