Second Manager 1. Dif neighborhoods really inform your experience. Each hood is like a different city.
Oh nice, I used to live there! I moved here 3 years ago (not from Chicago tho). My advice: Your apt is your sanctuary. Find a place in a neighborhood you like, where you have a bearable commute. Since you don't know your commute yet, make sure it is close to public transport. Talk to ppl to get their takes on neighborhoods - whether they are ppl like you or who have different priorities, you can learn a lot that way to validate your assumptions about where to live.
