Hi Fishers, I have accepted Walmart offer and my BGV has started 3 weeks ago. How do I check my BGV status? I will be joining in mid May. Also, I have been hiding one of the company where I had worked for 45 days and then absconded due to personal issues. Would it create any trouble? They had created my PF account though. Any help would be highly appreciated

Cloud solutions architect question for anyone involved in this.
Does it matter which cloud service provider you choose to learn and grow as a solutions architect? From a foreigner’s standpoint, one would think the skill set required for cloud solution design and migration work which is what a solutions architect
Does, should be the same across different cloud services (Oracle SAP AWS Azure, etc). Like if you learn one, it’s easy to jump to another. Lmk if this understanding is wrong.
I am deep on one. You could understand them at a high level, but not sure that there is a demand for mile wide and a inch deep - in a few years I am sure there will be some unicorns.
Cool idea in theory but I think it would be super difficult to prove expertise. Not sure I’d trust someone with 5 years in Azure and 5 years in AWS over someone with 10 years in AWS.
Yeah and I’m saying 5 years in both is solid experience and honestly pretty rare
Hybrid cloud is here and will also be the future, having a skillset that spans cloud and open source offerings will be most advantageous.

I don’t know if it’s really a new role or needs to be defined as such. It can just sometimes be a requirement. Sometimes it’s really just branding.
Most companies are multi-cloud in one way or another already.
Most effective way to learn the nuances may be to start with IAM and governance. Think of it from a client standpoint and walk through different scenarios that we would run into. For example, a common one because of the pandemic was leveraging AWS/Workspace or WVD. How can you tie that in with company user lifecycle management/operations/security etc. or your scenario of leveraging distributed architecture. Build something simple across all 3 public clouds maybe.

In that case you fleece them and start stacking bands. Lol, the customer WANTS to burn money? “Yes, please, right this way”.
If you’re m or below pull in directors/above at your discretion, you’ve got a home run.
Hybrid cloud is here.
I had asked the same question you did years ago and now that’s a solution I offer. This being said, I only architect the high level. I have dedicated azure, aws, and gcp people to tie it all together from an engineering perspective.

....so your hybrid cloud “clusters” are cost effective if utilized on demand in a, big(?), data world because storage and computing are decoupled? Like....nah, but ok.
If you’re going dosing out cheaper on demand/spot vs standing, sure. But you’re not, yeah?
Tried it. Failed. There is just not enough time in the day to keep up with everything across all 3. But, definitely doable if you only pick a handful of common patterns or uses cases across the platforms. Alternatively, terraform + 2 clouds probably your best bet.
Organizations can (and will) be multi cloud, but except for very specific business circumstances (e.g. SaaS provider where value proposition is multi-cloud) workloads should really never be multi-cloud, as it introduces way more complexity than can be reasonably justified by most enterprises.
What exactly constitutes a ‘workload’ is an enterprise architectural concern..
