My 10 months old has been moving around a lot in her sleep and wakes herself up when hitting her head on the side of the crib. Anyone else experienced the same thing? Any solution for this?

My girl did it. As hard as it was I just let her figure it out. She learned her space and it slowly stopped happening as often

Did it again when we moved her to the twin bed at 3 yr. Didn’t put up the fall out of bed guard. She fell the first night and hasn’t since.

That was my approach. Worked for us.

There are things like crib bumpers, but the risks don’t necessary outweigh the head bumps. My son (now 3) was a big time mover in this sleep, bumped his head too. He eventually started to wiggle around a lot less, no long term impacts ❤️

She may be close to trying a new gross motor skill (walking). Her brain is more active trying to prep for it and maybe she’s moving around in her sleep.

like

Yes!! She’s very close to walking. This is a very interesting perspective

We switched to a pack n play and got rid of the crib.

Just started a law assistant job at a small firm. I want to be a paralegal. I have a two year degree in humanities and accomplished a one year internship at WI state Capitol as a legislative assistant. A week into my new job as a law assistant and it’s going fine, I feel like I could be getting paid more but I’m not sure. I don’t hate my desk job. What’s your best advice for me? Should I stay here for a year and gain experience before looking for other options? Should I take a paralegal program @

SIL (don’t get along) is having baby 2.
She’s an “artist” read: stay at home mom, lived at home with parents all throughout college and postgrad until she married basically everything, provided by her husband who works a MODEST middle class job at a car dealership.
Do I owe anything but a card when I show up to the “baby sprinkle”?

Moms, what do you do with your children‘s creative output? I.e. pictures they have drawn, arts and crafts projects, etc.? I find it hard to throw things away and am keeping too many things. With 4 children, this is a problem (mess). What‘s your policy? E.g. do you keep things for a month and then decide what to keep and what to throw away? Do you discuss with them or just quietly let things disappear?

I hope this is acceptable to post here. I’m an urban planner by day and health and life coach for moms by night. As a single and working mom of 2, I know how stressful life is and how a little bit of support can go a long way. If you’re struggling (which I know we all are), I’d love to help you find some clarity, decompress, and help you achieve your desires. My passion is raising up the matriarchy one mom at a time.
