You can’t touch the money until retirement age. Please don’t get caught up on the day to day. If you have 10 Plus years until retirement you have a lot of corrections to go through. Don’t worry about it.

EY1– thanks for the clarification. I forgot about the ROTH IRA withdrawal rules.

Unless you’re close to retiring you don’t have to worry.

It started today... Not worried either. Expecting. In the long-term rates won’t maintain that rate of growth.

Fidelity but yup it was yesterday I was seeing. Today was a 5% loss.

Hello everyone, I am a fresher and I recently joined a management consulting firm(3 months) with 12+LPA and I realised MC is not for me.
I tried giving it a shot for the first 2 months but then I am just dragging there after. Anyhow yk how it's in MBA, campus placement leli without a thought plus lack of experience in everything. It's tough out there.
I am desperate to switch to creative/marketing/branding/advertising. If anyone could help/guide/refer me in the right direction that'd be great.

Hi,
CCTC including all benefits is 16.57 with 8.3 YOE, primarily focused on Manual Testing.
Is it worth looking for another opportunity?
I am afraid after seeing layoffs news of EPAM, Publicis Sapient & most of the other companies calling employees in the office.
I love my WFH in PwC India & base location of Kolkata. & the best thing is stability in PwC India, they never lay off!!

Always been a fan of FIRE and reading about it has definitely helped my finances but I can’t help but wonder if the movement is more about lifestyle change than early retirement.

After you achieve FI,you basically have to maintain the lifestyle that got you there.

What if you want to go on a lavish vacation or buy that flatscreen TV? Are you supposed to do away with material goods entirely? I suppose you could keep working for discretionary $ and live off interest but then you’re not retired.

I’m buying a home! It’s a little tight but here is my monthly cost breakdown ($9k/mo take home):

$3k mortgage
$500 for 15 months for new floors
$210 for 12 months for roof repairs
$300 groceries ($75/week)
$100 eating out
$150 estimated utilities
= $4260

Leftover = $4740

Investment Allocation:
$2k in HYSA
$2.2k in VTI
$540 leftover just in case

Is this a good budget to stick to? Also I may be able to subtract $800-$900 because I’m planning on renting out a room!
