Hey folks! Hope everyone is safe and sound. Who is working on billable work and who is on the bench ?
Hey all. My project is going well, but we had two new resources join and we clearly don't have budget. Assuming no one will be rolled off, are there situations where Directors squeeze timelines?
When you resign and you happen to be on the bench at that time. After giving two week notice, so you start to tell colleagues that you are leaving and schedule time to catch up with them in groups/ 1:1 (since you have time); or just wait until your last to send out farewell email to inform all the people you’ve interacted with at work?
First time on the bench in five years and I want to draw it out. Any tips? Book PTO every other week?

Over a month on the bench and all of my leads have fell through. I'm a campus hire (started last fall) but still worried about my utilization. Any tips on how to expand my internal network even more?

Is there any benefit for analysts/consultants who are on the bench to help with BD work? Does it make a difference in terms of networking/getting your name out - or is it really just doing
I am rolling off a project sooner than expected. Project wants me to go through the amendment but I don’t get the point but the time I know my result it will almost be time to roll off.
Anyone here have any ideas on how to handle sexism on the bench? I’m at my wits end in a case where my opposing counsel (white male and also a total jerk) is buddy-buddy with our presiding judge (also white male). In every single hearing, opposing counsel interrupts me every time I address the court, and the judge not only allows it, he never allows me to get back to my point. He also likes to hold all of these hearings as off record status conferences. Any strategies to fight this?
If you’re on the bench and get an external job offer is it worth giving a 2 week notice? What’s the point? I want to be professional but I also want to get paid until my start date. What should I do?
Last week on my project and flight issues from hell today (and Monday). I'll really enjoy the bench time after this!

S& fishes, if I want to do Pharma & LS strategy, what is the role I should apply to (as a Sr. Associate)? The only role I see open in PLS is in Ops Strategy - does this mean only working on operations in this space? What is the keyword I need to look for - Enterprise strategy? Corp strategy? Or does it not matter as long as I choose the right vertical? Completely unrelated, can anyone tell me if they accept H4 EAD's if the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship? TIA!
Received offer for product management from prestigious non profit tech company; but the pay is quite low. I’m pivoting from consulting and want to break into PM but is it worth it for the low salary?

I work at a faang but I realized I’m really sick of tech after being in it for the past few years. I want to to go to a business school to chill for 2 years and think about what I want to do. I haven’t taken the gmat yet. Did I miss my shoot at applying this year? What if I prep for 2 months for gmat and apply for R2 - is that a bad idea?
Was wondering if any teachers had book recommendations for a new kindergarten sped teacher. I want to make sure i’m writing effective IEPs and providing the right modifications for them.

COVID vaccine reactions? I got shot 1 of Pfizer on Friday. For me I had a sore arm for two days and was extremely tired. I’d love to hear others who got JnJ or Moderna.
Why do some people say that the senior level at big tech (e.g., L6 at AWS) correlates to senior manager level at big 4? I get it from a comp perspective since comp is just that much higher. But from a scope/skills perspective, I find it hard to believe that L6 is closer to SM than it is to SC. Asking cause I have a senior level offer in big tech. Amazon, AWS, Google, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft
What the top range SM salary in FDD HCOL?

I feel like tax is not for me and want to get out before I get too far! I’m three years in and am a HUGE people person. I love connecting, leading, teaching, helping, and get none of that in my role at PwC. I stare at excel sheets all day and try to figure out wtf the associate did compared to last year. Does anyone have thoughts on a Career that would be good for someone like me? Does anyone know anything about project managers? Or something like that? Hard to replace my income I guess too... 🥺
