My agency puts on a big show about their diversity/inclusions/women’s equality efforts but for the most part its bullshit. The c-suite drinks their own koolaid and don’t even realize it’s all fake.

They know it’s fake. They just don’t care enough to go beyond the PR half of it.

Start your own! It's engrained at the top already so too late to impact. Create and build something with your own vision and watch it grow while the old guard dies.

If you have to talk about your culture or diversity, you don’t have it

Of course they know.

Yeah I mean it’s just PR. We work for bullshitters. We’re being bullshitted. Nobody actually cares.

Hi everyone! I'm looking to leave the consulting world but don't know where to start. I live in the DMV so everything is government and/government consulting. I'm looking for a place that has an international presence that will help me expand my world view. Also looking for a place where I feel that the intersection of my race and gender is a welcoming attribute....done with the microaggressive attitudes that leads to psychological torture the consulting world has to offer.

Was hired into a company at a level that was more junior than my skills (Was out of work due to pandemic for a year). I’ve been at the company 5 months. We’re going through a reorg and my new position will really be leveraging my years of experience more so than other role. Is it appropriate to discuss a raise/adding senior to title? Or should I do the job and then prove myself then talk about raise. I have more experience than the senior members of my team.

Need suggestions. I just found out a client (in house counsel) has breast cancer. She is an awesome strong woman who has been a great advocate for me, and I want to be there for her. Any ideas of things I can do to support her while she is undergoing treatment? My first thought is to sign her up for a door to door laundry service, but I would love suggestions.
