My appetite has gone way down since WFH - probably due to sitting in the couch and not walking etc. Any suggestions for healthy small meals?

I’m in a similar boat. For snacks or small meals I’ve been doing avocado toast, a handful of berries with yogurt, hard boiled eggs, ground turkey with a bit of tomato sauce on top and roasted veggies, popcorn, buffalo roasted chicken, shrimp with cauliflower rice, a baked potato... make sure you’re still eating and getting in healthy fats and protein. I think being a bit depressed, less active, and feeling decision fatigue with what to eat every day has started to effect me.

like

Same, I’ve been making bowls of oatmeal (cinnamon raisin, could also do peanut butter chocolate / banana, & strawberries / blueberries) mixed with a scoop of protein powder. takes like 2 minutes and it holds me over for most of the day

Right?! I too have been eating 1 meal a day but I’m worried of losing weight too fast and being vulnerable to the virus

Lucky - my appetite has skyrocketed and I can’t stop eating!!!! No beach bod this year.

like

When I get like that from depression I just let myself eat whatever I can work up a genuine appetite for, even if it makes zero sense. I’ve had white rice with butter for 2 meals a day, apple and peanut butter days, cereal for dinner days, you name it. Calories are calories. Don’t beat yourself up if it’s not perfect nutrition.

like

We’ve been making a lot of fried rice to keep using up veggies and leftover meat. Super healthy if you use cauli rice!

Air fry chicken nuggets!! Pretty good macros if you eat in small portions

Greek salad with some chicken. The feta and chicken combo satisfies me for flavour and the veggies give it the bulk

Smoothies! Pack in all your greens and fruits for the day. Recipes are endless, keeps you on your toes

Is it a bad look as a senior associate (on the path to manager within a year) to be driving an expensive car like a C7 or C8 corvette that is $70k+? I don’t think it is and here’s my rationale. I’m making over 6 figures, maxing out my 401k and IRA accounts with extra $ going to a brokerage account, I have a 3BR 1300 sq foot home with finished basement and garage for $170k. My two loans are only $240k combined. Heck most people spend more on a house alone. Work remote so vette isn’t daily driver.

After a year in public accounting, I’m thinking this ain’t it for me. When we were in the office and on site at clients it was amazing, but I have been doing all my audit work from home since March and feel like I haven’t learned anything, and every day is miserable. I have one CPA exam section left and I honestly just want to collect my $5k bonus and bail. Do you think they would try to recollect that money if I were to do that? Things could change, but I’m looking at this possibility.

Does anyone have any insight as to when things are going to go “back to normal” in California in terms of needing to appear in person for smaller status conferences, hearings, depositions, etc. instead of doing it via zoom? I am permanently remote but a lot of my cases are in courts that are a good 1.5-2 hour drive from me and I’m starting to feel anxious about when I’ll have to start going in person for these types of things because of the distance.

Have anyone done contracting negotiations before? I've interviewed for co A & B and co A extended an offer today. The offer does not meet my current salary. Co B's interview structure is 3 rounds and I've finished my 2nd round today. The recruiter mentioned that since I am a contractor my current salary is incomparable as they will provide benefits, etc. Is this true? I have 2 yrs of contracting HR exp from fortunate 500 co’s & OMW to get my SHRM-CP. Appreciate your advice in advance.

I'm a little annoyed. there are sooo many Instagram accounts for moms-to-be, new moms but not a single account for dad-to-be or new dad's, the dad accounts I did find were all based on funny memes with kids. Not a single account with how to care for a baby or how to be a supportive pregnancy partner or parenting. This research basically started because my husband said he doesn't need to know all these things as it's a woman's role and lack of similar accounts men is proof that he doesn't need to
