My background is in change management for large-scale system transformations, but I’m now less interested in implementation-type work and want to do more strategy but still in the OCM space. What kind of projects typically fall into this category and what firms have this as their bread and butter?

We do a good blend of both, I would think Deloitte does as well. I’ve been doing OCM strategy for the past year and loving it!

What kind of projects do you primarily do OCM strat for?

I’ve been recently doing a lot of culture transformations or post merger/acquisition integrations that require OCM. Still easy going, but a much more interesting experience than straight implementations

Yeah, it’s new to me for the most part (came from Deloitte where all I did was implementations, guess it’s due to the network).

Not sure if I just lucked out in this work, but happy I did!

I am graduating with a CS degree and my job isn’t very coding heavy. It’s a lot of using tools like snowflake, powerBI, etc. I am worried this could make me less valuable down the road if I don’t continue to code professionally. To be fair though, I don’t see myself coding heavily 5 years from now, I think a role like product manager or solutions architect would better fit my skill set. Do any professionals in the tech field have any thoughts?

Hey guys,

I joined my current company 1.5 years ago & my plan was always to use this company as a stepping stone to increase my base pay.

Since I've joined this company, I've got massive hikes plus a promotion, however, I'm sure the growth is going to stagnate in coming years. (I joined the company at 21LPA and my current salary is 33LPA)

I wanted to check if it's a good idea to put down my papers in the coming months and look for a new job? Is it worth burning bridges?
