My biggest hurdle for the past 18 odd years has been my constant insecurities of my weight - physical appearences and comfortability in the skin I wear.

It has been a conscious choice of lifestyle and innumerable efforts to deal or cope with the day to day ordeals of weight imbalances. 3 years ago I made a decision to end this long lasting toxic relationship with my weight and in year and halfs time, I managed to scale myself from being 260 pounds to 205. But it has caught up without mercy

This is hard. I hear you, I see you. I have gained and lost ~50 lbs and one thing that helped me was therapy around disordered eating and finding exercise that truly makes me feel happy. It is definitely a lifelong thing, strive for progress not perfection. You are strong and capable. And you are so much more than your weight. ❤️

Look into traditional therapists - and then under specialties they’ll list for example, anxiety, depression… eating disorders. When I lost weight I found myself afraid of being around social situations because I was afraid I’d eat too much and feel guilty - this is disordered eating. It never got perfect but tips like grab one plate - fill it with a reasonable balanced meal - eat it - then step away from the table and keep water in your hand helped a lot and are the kind of thing I use a lot (like on thanksgiving)!

Any parents who are still on the safe side with Covid? We have a 1 year old and being safe and staying mostly home is really getting to me. Most of our friends have kids who are able to mask up or are vaccinated and it’s getting quite isolating. I’ve done dry January and a lot of weight melted off. I was already shooting to keep it going through to March. For super lean people (borderline Instagram models), do you still drink alcohol after your 20s? I remember a male stripper in Vegas told me he only drank a shot of vodka once a year 😂 and that was the extent of his drinking, but he looked great.
