My boss has no technical skills and often asks me to do tasks that are impossible in the time frame they provide. How do I tell them politely to start being realistic?

You shouldn't have to be polite when it comes to things like this. Just be straightforward!

Agree. They probably don't even know it's unreasonable because they aren't tech savvy enough to realize

Do you have an sort of process? In addition to telling them at a specific moment that their estimate is unrealistic, add task estimation to your process so you & other technical folks can be included in that.

Just you or your teammates included?

Female here. Had a female client berate me and undermine my role in front of the whole team. What is it with some women find joy in belittling other women??

Client recognized me in the adjacent bathroom stall by my shoes, asked how the key deliverable was going...not sure what's more awkward, that he asked or that I provided a status.

If you want to Boomerang, what would you put on your exit survey for “how long did you think about leaving D before you resigned?” Is a longer time better, to show you didn’t leave on a whim but you were unhappy for a long time, or better to put a shorter time to show you liked it here and never thought about leaving until a new opportunity showed up? Or as with all things, somewhere in the middle?
