A bit of a vent- I love being a producer, and producing certainly involves a certain level of expected stress, but it’s so hard being at the end of the agency process. It feels like so much is asked of us and we are so frequently set up to fail (time, money, or communication-wise), no matter how proactive we are in trying to mitigate these things. I feel these pressures and other departments’ understanding of production are getting worse with time.
LOL what company?
What is her biggest pet peeve that you can fix with Sharepoint? Find something that will make her so happy to have that it forces her to at least look at it. Version control is a huge thing for me as is accessing the things I need at any time of the day both are helped with SharePoint. I also have a lot of remote teams so the collaboration functions are amazing Maybe casually offering a solution to a regular problem will tempt her.
If you are at a bigger company, is there a Shareapoint advocate at or above her level who you can engage. I am a huge advocate and have other executives to use so you could try a peer-to-peer approach if there is someone you can ask Good luck!
Try this. Start my sending all your docs and proposals to her uploaded to your cloud drive or sharepoint. It's a link in an email and it just takes her to the doc. Make sure the settings are anyone with this link can edit. These tools were created for collaboration but also to save email space which is limited by most companies. Also if you have strict client conflicts most agencies insist that work be done behind a firewall. And lastly if it is anything confidential no one should be sending attachments period.o
