I’m about to sign up for golf lessons and join a country club to meet men. I think golf is a wuss sport and the most boring thing to watch, but my therapist recommended I give it a shot, so I will.🏌️♀️

What do you use and enjoy for grammar in upper elementary? I’d like something more natural than a workbook, but I like the structure of prescribed lessons!
And after the cacophony on Hathras dies down, the facts that now emerge are very different. Lesson #9999 - never ever believe Delhi centric media reports especially if a crime has allegedly happened in a Bjp ruled state (facts inside)

Interview pitfalls: freelance vs full-time? I'm usually a pretty good interview but a freelance contract is a bit of a different ballgame. Any lessons learned worth sharing?
Does anyone know of where to find remote part time work opportunities for older Indian women? My mom was a part-time after school teacher but has not been doing that due to covid (dad is high risk). I’m having her do some online typing lessons to get her to be a faster typer, maybe find her a data entry gig. She does not want to do nanny’ing / babysitting. She’s a great teacher though and she’s trilingual (Telugu, hindi) - anyone know of where to find opportunities?
Anyone who bought a new construction home... What mistakes or lessons did you learn from it?
I had a parent repeatedly shit talk me all over a school FB group, claiming I “hadn’t been doing anything for all of distance learning.” ... I had about 10 video lessons + daily (con’t in comment)
Has anyone done a math lesson on the growth and analysis of the corona virus? If so how did you present it and what resources did you use?

I report to a VP who also handles HR. I am working on building FCPA policies and a compliance program. Today she told me she needs to check with an outside attorney to see if CA law will cause issues for us. . . I just need to vent. I’m trying to figure out why is she paying me, but then again I totally shouldn’t care!! I’ve learned my lesson. Don’t report to someone with no legal background.
Where can I buy a good flat / house for 500k in London? First time future home owner on a PwC Manager salary (it’s not much) but have savings from my time in the US + parents will help a little bit if needed for the mortgage I’m 25 so does that make me early / late to the party as it relates to buying property?
Those who have switched firms recently: what signing bonus did you negotiate? And for what staff level?

I'm currently doing the ACCA, but not sure how easy/hard does it stack up agains the CPA. Also can you tell me when are the exam windows and how the retakes work? Thanks!
Anyone know the deal with distinguished achievement? How many people get it? How much better is your raise/bonus? Etc
Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad
~4 months ago I had a corp strategy interview at Tmobile. The case question was “should we enter the video streaming market?” After going through the case I concluded that no they shouldn’t. At the end of the interview they let me know that they haven’t publicly announced it yet but they actually are entering the market (with Tvision). Lo and behold I didn’t get the next interview. Today they announced they’re shutting it down. 😂
So we hired our own doctor to be on a firm wide WebEx about how COVID is ok. When pushed on whether the Dr would travel, he says “No.” LOL @ the idiocy of my firm.

What's your firm's sick leave policy?
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Should seniority be by title or length of time spent on a project? eg. Should A2 be delegating up to A3 if A2 has been on project longer but A3 is obviously in their promotion year ...

When was the moment that it really dawned on you that you are a full fledged attorney? Mine was when I was a first year and did a pro bono DV case and won custody, alimony, and child support for mom.
Was CDD work as bad, i.e. long hours, before WFH or clients and teams would assume you had a life past a certain time before the pandemic? How much of it is the nature of the clients/deals vs WFH making it harder to set boundaries? Trying to see if I can do this long term.
