I am lateraling. My start date is Sept. 7. I was planning on giving my current firm notice on Aug. 2 so my last day would be Aug. 13 and I would have a few weeks off before starting the new gig. Was just perusing the employee handbook of my current firm and found that the separation policy requires at least 4 weeks’ notice. I’ve never heard of this before, and I’m at a loss as to what I should do. I don’t want to lose the time off but don’t want to lose benefits for Aug. either.

Really tired of the job tier/level structure at agencies, and how they’re used to determine respect given

I gave my notice today and I feel like a thousand-pound boulder has been lifted off of my chest.

Sometimes I feel like people at my company are catty about me not participating in “fun” group activities but I simply don’t have time to due to deadlines and it’s taking a toll on my mental state.

I feel like I’m choking in this job search. Nothing works: apps, interviews, pre-interviews, networking sessions. I really don’t know what is fucking wrong with this city
