Hi all,
Need help , can anyone let me know if Accenture is giving work from home as of now ? I mean i have been offered, and the HR is telling me to collect the assets from the base location and the policy of dispatching the assets to home location is no more. Now initially it was communicated it will be work from home for at-least 6 months now i am building trust issues to join the organisation.

Is he schizophrenic? My uncle went through something similar and he was fine on medication.
He's not, officially its ocd with paranoid psychosis.
FYI I am from Pakistan and one thing to take into consideration is American society is very harsh. We ultimately set up a trust fund type account for him but he had a lot of family support. Look into medication.
check into local resources? my sisters father is in a group home due to schizophrenia, and i believe the state helps with medical stuff too
The best solution may be getting him a cheap apartment and helping financially. Not ideal but it is much better than committing your family to an institution.
Are you upset with him? Why are you waiting for him to die? What do you imagine an improvement in his life is, and would he agree?
What is the quality of mental health care where your brother lives? Even in the US quality is often poor. It’s possible that your brother isn’t getting the care he needs. Maybe his psychiatrist hasn’t found the right combination of medications to treat his illness. Maybe his therapist isn’t the right one for him. (Unfortunately finding the right therapist can be a bit like dating. You have to be patient in finding someone you “click” with.) I would suggest that if your brother’s mental state hasn’t improved in years, he should consider a new psychiatrist and a new therapist.
Mental health care is not a quick fix, and dealing with getting coverage for care is frustrating and difficult even when you’re not struggling. Have you tried making appointments for him? Helping him try more than one psychiatrist and therapist? Helping him get coverage? Maybe he’s had prior bad or even traumatic experiences with a doctor or therapist. Saying you are waiting for him to die sounds really sad and harsh. Mental illness often gets better with age as well. You are under no obligation to financially support him but you shouldn’t give up on him either.
I am not hoping he dies..but this an adult who refuses to get the required help and is stubborn. His life is basically living in a bedroom and with this latest psychotic episode he will be medicated enough to return to living in a bedroom which is an tragic existence where someone is just waiting to die...imo
I understand how frustrating that must be. I am just saying he might not physically be able to get the help himself. You can’t force him but things like scheduling an appointment for him and driving him could be a huge help. If he still won’t go then that’s on him. I can somewhat relate to what he must be feeling, and even a life in a bedroom is better than no life at all. It can get better.
In Japan they have a term for this call Hikkikomori it’s actually a serious problem around the world
