My brother just tested positive. He’ll be fine (young, no chronic conditions), but I’m not home with the rest of my family to help them and I feel horrible.

I hope he gets better soon. You're luck to be able to help them. I learned today that my grandpa is positive. He is 92, and my mom was visiting him on Saturday without knowing anything. They live in Europe, and I'm in the US. There's nothing I can do from here. I'm even not sure if I can go back of it comes to the worst 😥

I feel you! My brother and sister in law both have it currently (they are both nurses). Just face time him a bunch and I hope he recovers quickly! My family also is lucky in that it’s not serious enough for hospitalizations. Silver lining.

Thank you so much!

Sorry to hear that. I would talk to him and your family regularly and try to keep them calm.and focussed. I would also pray(if its your thing) for him and everyone else affected by it and stay safe myself!
Hope he gets well soon OP!

Sorry to hear that, praying he pulls through!

wish the best. have you guys found out how he was contracted?

We don’t know for sure, but he’s gone out twice in the last 3-4 weeks to get groceries for the family and his symptoms started by the end of last week.

Thanks for all your thoughts everyone - hope everyone’s families pull through if they are experiencing anything similar ❤️

I was given a pie for teacher appreciation week.
The note said "I figured nothing would make you happier than knowing I asked for two pi of a pie, and proceeded to try to explain the unit circle to the bakery guy at the store. Thanks, for ruining pie, but making me love pi"
I actually felt appreciated.

Hi all, can someone help me prepare interviews for HR roles please? Thank you

I haven't interviewed in years and feel absolutely out of place and underconfident. Not able to bring my A game to the table (I can't pitch myself as ideal candidate for position).

I have very strong profile for my experience. All my performance reviews continuously state I'm going above & beyond and theres nothing they can think of suggesting I do different. Just can't interview well

Hot take, for those who received a stimulus based on FY19 or FY18 returns why doesn’t the government make people pay it back in the FY20 return if they don’t qualify based on the actual tax year stimulus was for? I understand why they couldn’t wait but IrS knows who received it so it isn’t hard to implement. Could have used the anticipated saving coming back to fund more stimulus for those who truly needed it.

How to deal with an overly paranoid family member? I've been working from my parents place for the past month and my brother recently came home for the holidays. Out of all of us, my brother is the most cautious, but to the point where he is paranoid. Like, he will wear 2 masks, doesn't see anyone, uses hand sanitizer after touching anything (like his shoelace), and doesn't use grocery store baskets (holds everything). I respect his habits and I've been pretty cautious (cont. in comments)
