Hello, everyone! I am new to fishbowl, the Healthcare field, and fairly new to my company. One of my primary goals, besides finding the highest quality talent to join our team, is to expand my network. If anyone here is willing to send me a LinkedIn connect request I would be very appreciative! It will be a mutual benefit, I assure you.

I remember seeing something in a travel group that if you say you’re getting tested for travel, it’s not free, but if you suspect that you have covid or have been in contact then it’s free
Pro
Correct. If you have to get tested on a particular time schedule (like for travel), the test itself is free, but almost everywhere that guarantees results in less than 36 hours charges an expediting fee that isn’t covered by insurance and varies wildly. I paid $150 to guarantee 24-hour results back in February.

I got a bill for mine and I have BCBS. I called the provider and they said disregard because my insurance mistakenly denied the payment. Should call and verify.
Purposefully denied and hope no one calls them on their scam.
From what I understand, Covid tests used to be subsidized and paid for by the US government, but not anymore. When my SO’s kids got tested back in Jan/Feb before going back to in-person learning, it was free. Her daughter had to get a test recently for gymnastics and it was $300.

Yeah I'm really confused. I've probably gotten tested close to 20 times, as recently as April, and never paid anything
Covid tests arent free. Just the vaccines. Some insurers may have no deductible though.

I've never paid for one
