I once had a client who named their conference rooms based on their assets (O&G), which were named after super heroes (e.g. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, etc.)

My client office is names of all disney Pixar marvel and DC characters

Does anyone have experience moving from federal to commercial? I’ve been in federal for a little over a year and am itching for higher paced, less bureaucratic client work.

You know what I love? Managers that tell you to do one thing and you do it. Then when a Client, SM, or PPMD questions your actions they go SILENT🙃. No support or explanation , and you’re left to defend yourself/actions. You ain’t Casper or a mute, so don’t act like one🗣.

Hi! Trying to sell a client on casting someone with a disability (that in no way affects or changes the story) in a film. Their concern is it will 'add an unnecessary layer'. Does anyone have links to a good presentation/data set to prove the benefit of normalising the inclusion of disability? Want to convince them with data. TIA!!!

Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project. I've been promoted into a management role from Dev roots, so need to learn more PM processes to be an effective manager in day job, plus would like to start building my own SaaS solution.

I am an incoming associate (awaiting bar results). I have already begun working as a law clerk and am already being given plenty of tasks to fill my time, which I’m grateful for. I am also fortunate to be in working in an area of the law that is personally fulfilling to me, so a lot of the work I do doesn’t feel like work. Here’s the thing: I do my absolute best. I give polished, clean work, and I always give my personal best. However, it seems like a lot of the tasks I do always get sent back..

The company I work for is based out of a different state. They’re HR team makes more because of cost of living. Well, that has changed dramatically and over the last 3 years my state has soared passed theirs. Our team has not received inflation adjustment and we still make less than the team in our base office because of “cost of living”. My team and I have worked hard to demonstrate this but we are not being heard. The obvious would be to look elsewhere but other than this issue, I’m happy here
