My comp talk this year is titled "compensation and career discussions." Probably reading into the last part too much but that isn't anything to be worried about, right?

Staff 2, technically (I guess Staff 3 now). Been here a little over 1.5 yrs. Got a 3 rating (counselor says would have been 4 if my utilization wasn't so low).

Also in PAS

You are done.... Clean out your hotel room

If it was bad, you would have been called to an office, so relax.

Don't you already know your rating? Wtf

How did it go?

Everything turned out fine, guys! Actually got a 10% raise 😁

Did any career discussion happen?

Yeah but just for like 1-2 minutes about becoming a senior next year

I've only been at my company for 9 months. Is it too soon to request a raise? I'm at a point in my career where I'm actively being recruited by people I've worked with previously. I got the job I'm in now through a referral, and have since had two former colleagues reach out and offer a significant increase in salary if I come work with them. I finished my master's degree in December and have done really well in my role, but it's hard to feel satisfied knowing I could be making a lot more.

Have seen comp for NACR (restructuring) listed at around 150-200 for analysts, 200-275 for associates, and one mention of senior associates at 375k. Supposedly NACR gets crushed in terms of hours. But i've also read that targets are around 2000 hours per year? Something doesn't add up.....e.g. Associate $550/hr * 25% cap rate * 2000 billable hrs = $275k.......but 2000 hours is slightly over 40 hours a week (including 4 weeks vacay), not the 80 hr/week. So is there a ton of time on vacation?

Would you all prefer the title and role of a manager running a team, but make less money, or be an IC with more salary. I currently have an opportunity to go back to an IC role for much more money ($35k more base plus better benefits) than I'm making now as a manager at my current company. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I work as a clinical care manager (LCSW) with an insurance company. Wondering if there is a better way of finding out salary information for other companies out there that have similar positions? I do feel that I am compensated fairly but lower than what I initially expected based on what I saw on glassdoor. I was told it’s because it’s based on cost of living where I am residing (not sure if that was legit or just an excuse).

Has anyone else noticed a difference in the credentials of the new associates your firm has hired during the pandemic compared to those hired through the traditional route? Seems like my firm is hiring from schools/firms that it almost certainly wouldn’t have pre-pandemic. Curious whether this is a meaningful change in approach to hiring, a consequence of having a ton of work to go around, or a sign that others with more typical credentials are avoiding my firm (or some combination).
