For a senior role (Principal, MD) when do firms typically do reference checks-Before or after extending an offer? In conversations with a PE firm and it’s going well. The founding partner said during the in-person meeting they really like me, have gotten positive feedback from every partner, and see a good cultural fit. Hey ladies! I started a new role back in September, fresh out of college. In this role I often have to communicate with acct managers + I’ve noticed that they often question/screen me before letting me to do my job. I’ve asked around + others that I started with don’t experience this. I wonder if my “black name” is apart of this. Did a first interview with hr rep, went very well. she set up the hiring manager meeting for a few days later. Met with the manager. Another great conversation, went over time and was told I’d hear back about panel set up. Following day I get a request from hr rep to “continue the conversation” with manager. This is set up Tuesday.
Why do you think the manager wants to meet again? Good? Bad? I felt great about the interview when we ended.
