Hi everyone,
I'm currently working with management on a promotional offer. I've never negotiated before, and always accepted the first offer
My question is, I have identified a certain range that I feel better aligns with with current expectations, along with the addition of more responsibilities and expectations. When communicating that, should I I provide my highest expectation and negotiate from there?
My concern is, if I provide a range, they might just go with the lowest of the range.

It's not great. While inflation is being a bit overhyped by the media, things truly are getting more expensive, and your salary should reflect that. There are plenty of companies offering annual raises.
Sadly no cost of living / inflation adjustments (unless you’re at the top) is pretty common.
Not great. But lots of places did that this year. It has been horrible.
Interesting thoughts, thanks for sharing! Additional info: my company is a subsidiary of a fortune 100, but a small fraction of the company was just acquired by Blackrock. Does that make the situation any different? I thought the Blackrock acquisition would make things better (they really hyped it up) but I'm not too sure now...
Nope!
