I just received an offer to work as an software sales representative (SDR) for IBMs Z systems. I'm coming as a sales engineer in the cloud security space. Can anyone advise me on whether Z systems are something worth going into? Also what do the growth opportunities look like at IBM? Is there opportunity for lateral movement onto other teams? Not too sure how I feel about working on mainframes (Z systems) but they keep pitching hybrid cloud to me. IBM

Yes i have an offer for 34 lpa but that is for Bengaluru and my hometown is Noida.
I was planning to search for offers in Noida in Feb but now i am not sure what to do.

As per the offer agreement termination from either side need to serve 3 months of notice or equivalent pay. In case of early release will the equivalent amount of pay for remaining days be provided?

Unfortunately many bad advices here. First check your offer letter if it says they will pay in case of an early release. Next no one can adjust leaves. Leaves are when you an employee.. whe you resigned and relieved from org you not an employee anymore and they can't adjust leave for a non employee. Yes some orgs have earned leaves carry forward and usually that amount you will get in FnF settlement. Some firms do not have that and you will lose leaves after lwd.
Next no firm asks you why you didn't join early and even if they ask it's not a big deal . The agreement between you and new org as per offer letter is that you will join on March 1st and that is what matters. Also orgs do not ask to submit service letter which shows lwd..because usually this letter is sent within 45 days after resignation. All they ask when you join is resignation acceptance letter which you have. So you are getting worried unnecessarily. Keep looking for a new job in Nodia and you have 2 months atleast for that!

Agreed, on the offer letter part to mention company will pay for early release, HR smartly add many clauses like underperformance, non-behavior. I know they can't enforce it, but still to save company money, they will tell one all sorts of things. Again, depends on company, some companies are that cheap also.
And agree with the second piece of advice, you can still look for jobs for 2 months, next company won't ask why didn't you join the early. All is that remained is to find compensation from current company then. In worst case, you can join and then start.looking, can't advise this though.

I believe they can't relive early without your consent. Or they should provide you salary for remaining duration. Try demanding this to your HR as I think they have to abide to the notice period agreement
Even if underperformed or let's say even on bench if the offer agreement between we and company says like termination from either side requires 3 months notice period or equivalent pay, no matter what, that has to be provides right.? That's my understanding. Otherwise what's the point in various clauses in offer letter if can be twisted accordingly.
Also how leaves are adjusted in this. Leaves are something we earned during our tenure as per the Company policy. Either it can be availed or encashed and most of the companies provide it in Final settlement
It depends on how you negotiate, in Syntel same happened with me, I had 35 leaves balance, they deducted all instead of giving encashment, rest HR said I will let go and not ask money for it. I was fresher at that time. Couldn't negotiate. But people do negotiate, ask them if they want to leave early, they wil have to pay for rest of the days, also negotiate for bonus in next company...

They can release you early. Just go through your offer letter again, they might have mentioned there.
Also, if you donāt tell the company that you are released from your current organisation. They will find out because while doing background verification they check date of exit in PF also they will ask for reliving letter . In case you are not joining that company then there is no problem.
If you want to search for jobs till February then there will be gap of some months in your career.
My suggestion is to update your profile on Naukri and mark yourself as immediate joiner also add preferred location as Noida only
