After reading through a lot of these bowls, while considering to pivot to consulting for the first time, I see a lot of negative aspects about the field. Is it really all that terrible? Is a 40 hour work week not a reality in consulting? Is there specific bad and good experiences people can share so that I may make an informed decision before pivoting careers?

Today I received mail from KPMG. On FNF , 27300 rupees in not included.

The older I get, the harder it is for me to have the mental capacity to text people back. I reply back rather quickly but eventually look back and realize I didn’t even answer the question that was asked or totally disregarded what someone said. Also the older I get, the more uncomfortable I get around people I’m not very close to. I used to be very social and have many groups of friends but now I think I may have social anxiety. Is anyone else experiencing something similar?

I hate consulting. The majority of consulting is a mix of coming up with bs using business doublespeak, office politics, building slides, boasting about the experience you claim you have, and being “proactive” on email to let people think you’re busy doing all these great things when it’s not.

Today has been an emotional roller coaster day for me: dealing with guilt, fear, and a touch of empowerment.

Wanting to donate my kidney to a person I consider a family but having a high level of anxiety and fear (of pain and something going wrong). Feeling so down. I have friends but a next to nothing social life, I’m sitting at home on a Friday night doing nothing for maybe the 7th week in a row.
