My counselor is on vacation, and I don’t know my rating or promo decision as yet. 😏

I checked on iRPM it shows Target Promotion year 2018 on practitioner details page in iRPM. What should I conclude?

I got an email from my counselor, I got promoted . Hurray...

like

You are promoted

like

Congrats bud!

like

I feel this was meant to be a Deloitte bowl post anyways lol

like

It does not mean you are promoted at all

like

Seriously ? I am happy 😊

I am not sure- check the deloitte bowl bunch of folks talking about the same issue and some of them confirmed they got promoted

What’s Deloitte promo look like as far as % increase in pay

If you didn’t get promoted they wouldn’t change the promote year until they expose 2018 rating to you in rpm. Until you hear it from your counselor don’t get your hopes up

Target promotion year got changed from NA to 2018

Hello, I am a new grad with a doctorate in OT. I just got an offer for a job working at a private school. The offer is 58K with benefits. 15 days PTO. Do you guys think I can negotiate the salary to 70K, which based on my research is the average pay for my level of experience and education? Or is that too much to ask?

Hi all,
Please help me understand if I should accept this position or not?
I was working as a regular staff therapist for 2 years at an assisted living when just 2 weeks back the HR approached me with an offer to work at a newly opened senior living, so basically I will helping them set up that location from scratch, open it and get it running. For doing all this they have not even clearly offered me a promotion, raise or a change in position. What should I do?

Please help🙏🏻

I know I might get blasted for this on here which is ok. How bad is it that I'm considering using my PTO to extend my Christmas time off? We're supposed to be back in class on the 4th, but I'm considering taking the 4th-14th off as well just as a treat. Obviously this will put some stress of my substitute, and potentially mess up my post-holiday lesson plans, but I'm so exhausted and haven't used any other PTO this year. Would you do it, or no?

I currently make $65K as a Marketing Science Analyst. Started in July 2021 and have excelled beyond my and my superior’s expectations.
I love my job! However… I’m very underpaid when compared against local and national avgs for my role and responsibilities.

I live paycheck to paycheck (follow a budget/no wild spending.).. living wage in Nashville is 85K. I *need* a raise otherwise I will have to work a second job. Is it too soon to bring this up after working less than a year at the company?

I’m 17 weeks pregnant and started a new job this summer- leading a very large team who’ve been without a leader for months. My boss is well aware but the team doesn’t know. I’m showing now and after a few weeks of holiday I’m gonna be showing enough to have to say something. (For context: Heavy male team, 6 months mat leave policy) I don’t want their reaction to be negative but it does suck to lose two leaders -even if only temp- in one year. Looking for advice on how to word my announcement?

Disappointed with the 2.42% raise in Austin market. I joined the company in June 2021. My manager resigned in October 2021, new manager got assigned this February 2022. There were no self evaluation sent last year. The numbers were already decided by my manager’s boss and the HR and my manager was just a communicator. When asked, got a response that business is affected due to shipment/container price hikes, chip shortage, Covid, war, inflation, etc.

Hey! My company is giving me a new title (previously: Senior PMM, new: Global Lead of product marketing). The roles are very similar with no material change of responsibilities. it’s the result of a re-org. Also, I’ve been deemed a high performer and approaching my 1 yr review.

In any case, as I’m waiting on the official letter, they have been very vague that they’re will be a compensation increase. In fact, this hasn’t been presented as a promotion. How would you approach this conversation?

Is it wise to go to my company’s competitor for a promotion and risk burning a bridge?

For context, my small company was suddenly bought out by a large corp. I was about to get promoted to leadership but the new company doesn’t want to honor the title/salary increase we worked out. We only have one significant competitor in our industry, and it’s likely my best option. Love my company, been with them for years, but I’m really struggling with how frustrating this situation is.

Anybody have side hustles that are completely different from what they do on their job? I’m currently working as a Product Manager building some APIs but really my biggest skill is data analysis and creating work for engineering teams. Not really sure how I could use these skills to build something of my own. The only thing I can think of would be freelancing on the side and doing sql/excel analysis for clients on like Upwork or something.

My director gives me the worst anxiety. His tone of voice, constant interrupting, policing my greetings to client (hi vs hey), blast of pings that always seem to require immediate attention, constant pinging on the side for no legit reason while I present to the client, asks to perform tasks with little guidance and then gets angry when I get it wrong, “why would you do that” for non-issues. I truly wish he gets his karma one day

I started a new full-time job 3 months ago. My teammates only escalate small mistakes to my boss; I rarely get positive feedback on the things I go above and beyond on. I have a review coming up this week, and I don’t feel secure. A role that I applied to pre-covid became available. I got a verbal offer last week. Should I leave a full-time gig for a temp-perm one? I’ve killed myself to implement constructive feedback but I’m scared it wouldn’t be enough.

My organization absorbed another and the former deputy PM became a branch head - a demotion. For org was more focused on tech dev and not delivering a product on a sked. New org is very focused on that. He is not a driving leader, but is the only one with the tech knowledge needed. He is retirement eligible. He has no heir apparent - previous org didn’t plan that way. If I move him under someone who is a driver - he retires and I lose the knowledge. If I don’t, we may not meet schedules. Advice?

I've been working at a small marketing agency for 3 years now. I started when I was an intern and they ended up hiring me full time.

My intern included graphic design and web development but I didn't really get too far into the developer role. My starting salary was 32k/yr and three years, two title changes and raises later I'm only at 42k/year.

Can someone explain RSU refreshers to me? Let’s say your first year’s RSU value was 200k, at 100 shares each for the sake of simplicity. 5 years down the road the stock doubles. Would your refresher be based on the dollar value or an increase in share quantity. And also let’s say the stock hypothetically goes 10x like Tesla did. Would the company start awarding fewer shares to match a specific $ target on that date or would your future TC benefit mostly from change in share price?
