My cousins wife is pregnant! But she has no appetite for any food—I want to get them a gift but not sure what to send… any ideas? Feel like flowers are overdone and not useful.

Something pampery for her, look for new mother gift sets. Everything in her world is going to shift to baby-centric so it’s nice to re-anchor on her! If you know her well, throw in something personal (does she like to read, is there a sport she fancies, etc)

So true. Ok thank you!

A gift certificate for a massage!!! She will appreciate it SO MUCH and it gives her an hour of uninterrupted relaxation time.

Such good ideas!

Been 2 weeks and I am tired of pumping. I only pump like 20-30 per session and 5x a time but each time it takes almost 1h from start to finish (lube the flange, gather the equipment, find a spot, find my water/food, pump, clean up and put stuff away) and I am not even washing them (hubby is doing that). What did you do to make it more efficient? Also I can't seem to figure my flange fitting. I follow the guidelines and the suggested one is more uncomfortable than a large size. Help.

I think the HVAC ducts of my apartment (non-luxury building in Brooklyn) have a pretty serious mold infestation. It might explain my allergies and I'm having a baby in a few months so I want to be extra careful. Advice? Can/should I break my lease? Does it depend on the contract? I'm already getting a mold test to see what type we are dealing with.

I have an employee who has been out on Mat leave since beginning of October. She is scheduled to come back beginning of Jan. Today I received an email from our employee asking if she can work the following schedule for the month of Jan: two week 3 days on, two off and then another two 2 days on, 3 off. This is due to COVID and not wanting to put the child in daycare (which I totally get). Not being in a situation like this before, how do I respond?

My ex wife with whom I share custody of my 14 year old daughter has a live-in boyfriend who recently lost his mother and has developed a drinking problem. For the second week in a row I’ve had to pick up my daughter from their apartment because they were fighting and screaming at each other. Last time (1:30 AM Friday morning) he had physically assaulted my ex wife and then threatened to kill himself. I thought surely my ex wife would have kicked him out at least and better yet gotten a contd.

Moms, need some advice. Husband and I have decided to try to get pregnant. I love the thought of having a baby but there is this nagging anxiety about life changing drastically & the thought of how good of a mom I will be. I don’t take well to big changes in life so knowing this is going to be physically & emotionally different is worrying me. Anyone been through this?

had a miscarriage recently and am having hard time not to think or worry about what happened. It’s been 3 weeks and my husband just yelled at me saying 1. I should be grateful for the kid I have 2. We didn’t plan so I can’t worry about it. 3. That he is done caring for our toddler in the mornings( he wakes up pretty early in the morning due to daylight savings) and i am unable to sleep at night, end up sleeping in the morning. Does anyone go to therapy for miscarriage? Does it help?
