No, it’s your colleague not a direct report. Don’t start workplace drama. Just focus on your work. If it’s a problem, It will come to light and you won’t have gotten in the middle of it.

You have to say something, they could tell you that this is not being a good colleague but the first bad colleague is him because marketing work is teamwork, therefore everything he does or does not do has a direct impact on the performance of the department, therefore it affects everyone.

I think that if that puts the work environment at risk and if the work environment is good, you shouldn't say anything, remember that companies pass but friends remain.

You should try him directly before going to someone else, ask him what's wrong and try to help him if he has any problems, marketing is an area that needs creativity and can't be created easily in a toxic climate.

If what that person does affects your work, first call him directly, if it doesn't work, go to higher entities, he is in a workplace, not a retirement home.

Speak with that person directly before doing anything else. There was a time I had a team in Europe and a team in Asia. I would usually take a 2-3 hour break in the afternoons because my day started at 4:30AM and at least 3X weekly I would meet with the team in Asia around midnight.

Agree with most posts above. Message him asking for best times or communication to get a quick reposnse. Remember that some people may have work accommodations for I’ll east or disability. You’re assuming he’s slacking off, but may not always be the case. Hope you can find a balance with him!

If you are managing diverse talent, it’s important to understand what the term “privilege” means within a DE&I context so you can lead your team to higher levels of inclusivity+develop optimal strategies for solutioning around team issues/challenges. Everyone has some aspect of privilege depending upon the context. Privilege means the absence of obstacles/barriers, not necessarily the presence of perks. Though some would say *that* itself is a perk.

What is the advice on what feedback to leave for a peer who really sucks at everything y'all have worked together on? I work in a small company. My small sales team is amazing, I’m the first SDR, super happy with my managers and learning a lot.
The CEO though is always getting in the middle and micromanages me to exhaustion.

How does everyone address a group of colleagues with non-binary on it? I made a faux pas today apparently and addressed everyone as “You guys,” and I got snapped at afterwards.
