I live in Mumbai. 11th July is my last day and I haven't been to office in the last 5 years. Onsite, working directly at the client site in India and then covid ensured WFH.
Please can someone let me know if it's ok to go to office in jeans and round neck T-shirt. When i was at Airoli I had cases where people were strictly made to come in formals.

Also, m1 this guy is only on this project with me. He isn’t on any other project. I can but then I work at a startup so gets risky. I think I’m just going to look for a new job

I can’t because it’s such a small firm idk how to approach it. Everyone is remote so I don’t really trust anyone
15 years of experience with the same technology. He’s the architect on the project and I’m the developer. So whenever I ask him questions, he continuously keeps rolling his eyes. We work at a startup so rolling out is honestly not an option and he was employee number 4 in my company so I’m not sure if I should really complain about him. If I don’t respond back to his pings within 5 mins he keeps double triple texting me but if he doesn’t text back for hours it’s ok. There’s so much of hypocrisy and I’m getting so tired of this it’s really affecting my mental health. What do you suggest I do? I have only been with this firm for a little over a year so I’m not sure if I should just switch out. I don’t even know where I wanna switch out.
Our project is supposed to be end in December and I’m already done with all the development needed so we are way ahead in the project. This means that I’m definitely not slacking but he makes me feel like I’m so dumb.
Address it or try to roll off. Find a respectful way to tell him how you feel. It seems like a terrible idea but you shouldn’t shy away from expressing a clear issue. No matter what someone’s level is, they need to give respect in order to get respect. If you’re viewed as weaker because of it, then you know that has nothing to do with you. No job is worth having your health and self-image damaged beyond repair.
To be honest you should deal with it and try and have him mentor you, even if he doesn’t want to.
I think you’re looking at this incorrectly. He is probably so networked that he doesn’t want more people to “know”. Show your worth by learning not by being kind to him. He is a wealth of information that you should be learning from both for your own edification and as a benefit for your career. Who cares if it’s his stylistic preferences vs yours?
Also....there is just about no one personally or professionally that I would wait an hour on the phone for.
