Have an offer with McKinsey & Company. Gave notice at Deloitte and my PPMD has set up time for Discussion with a subject of possible negotiation. I love my team and work at Deloitte. My reasons to interview at Mckinsey were comp, exposure to senior client leadership, exit opps and because its Mck. Now i am just rethinking because of option partner might give in terms of comp. For those who made the similar switch have you found it to be worth it? Leaving your network?
I will be interning at Capital One NYC in the summer as a grad Data Scientist. I am being offered $140k base + 3k commitment bonus. I was wondering if I were offered a return full time position after my internship, what would the TC look like? Looking for ballpark figures. Also, I’m trying to figure out the culture at C1 for a data scientist. Any pointers would help!

On an additional remark I'm in my junior year of college and notnquite near where I was hoping to be before leaving my current employment, so I am pursuing related jobs with equal pay which is few and far between. Until I complete my Bachelor's and show progress towards my Master's degree which will open up a wider amount of job availability.
I feel for you... that's an awful environment to work in. First, I wouldn't offer any explanation unless the hiring manager asks. If they do ask why you're leaving, instead of explaining why you're leaving focus on the culture you are looking for.... Interviewer: "Why are you pursuing employment elsewhere?" You: "I'm looking for a culture/work environment that supports my career goals, is encouraging, inclusive..." Every time I've been in this situation and responded that way, the interviewer was happy with my response and moved onto the next question. I hope that was helpful. Good luck!
Im so sorry to hear this! I dont have a solution to your problem but regrading your question on how to explain it while interviewing, you dont, you say that you’re looking for more growth opportunities and tell some points that will show that you are really interested in this new company and job
Thank you both on your insight, I've a horrible habit of over explaining myself oftentimes. I've been on two interviews and got turned down for the job on both occasions. I called looking for some insight on why I was passed over with no hard feelings they simply explained that they called my previous employer to ask if it was okay to hire me that they loved me in the interview process and would have loved to bring me on board but my current employer said absolutely not I was too valuable to loose. At which time I was pulled into a meeting and told things are going to change around there. I'm not holding my breath I've heard this before. I can only hope it does become better around there, as it seems I am stuck there for awhile longer. Side note I work in a heavily male dominated field so women in this industry are thick skinned and mean as a snake you have to be because you complain you become a liability and you'll get blacklisted faster than you can blink. As the industry inside joke goes you got to have mean skills, a strong sense of humor, and a good right hook.
