Thank you Global Entry.
I was laid off during Deloitte‘s mass layoff in July of last year. I have worked as an independent contractor since and projects haven’t been consistent at the client I’m working for. I’m looking to get back into a big firm and was seeing if anyone would be able to refer me or help get my foot in the door. I was a business analyst for 1.5 years at Deloitte and have several years of additional experience which I’d be more than happy to share.

If it makes you happy go for it. Looking forward to the espresso picture
Highly recommend a Rocket Appartamento
The rocket grinder is amazing, its bit too expensive but just damn good design to complement the setup 👍
Rising Star
And here I thought I overspent with my $19.99 Sunbeam coffee maker from Walmart.
Bro we are one day closer to the heat death of the universe. Buy the damn espresso machine and enjoy the daylights out of it.
YouTube --> James Hoffman.
James is awesome and has a lot of knowledge in the field. He's won world brewing competitions, has been involved in a ton of coffee related businesses (and has even founded a few), and he has lots of technical knowledge about coffee roasting, brew methods, and brewing machine mechanics.
I'm not into following personalities on YouTube, or even going on YouTube without a specific video in mind, but this channel has accelerated my coffee knowledge and hobby by leaps and bounds. Worth a follow if you're interested in a new (and expensive) hobby.
Second the Rocket Appartamento! You can also find an Italian company that will sell to you. Was way less expensive vs buying from Whole Latte Love etc
Thank you, placing my order this evening!
I usually use a coupon and get my vanilla iced coffee from McDonald’s for 99 cents plus tax 🥲
This thread is out of my price range. Can’t wait to make SM and be able to afford a “nice latte” 😅
I have the Nespresso mini so my coffee game is above peasant level (joke) but def not nearly in the same ballgame as this entire thread.
Jura. Go big or go home.
I don't have one, but I always tell myself the coffee tastes better when I have a cup from my friend's machine.
If you think Jura makes a good cup then you don’t know eat good expression is. I have Terri Jura and they both make decent shots. It’s the best for a fully auto, but doesn’t compare to what OP is asking
Do it!
Here’s mine
Coming over for cappuccino
Thanks maube I buy an Apartmento, use it for few years and sell it off for another upgrade 🤣
I splurged on the Breville Oracle Touch this past Xmas and haven't regretted it for a second: https://www.breville.com/us/en/products/espresso/bes990.html
I looked into it but I prefer opd skool analog dials its like driving a manual Porsche. The oracle touch is a Tesla :)
Brevilles are nice too but I have graduated from automation.
The Beville Oracle Touch is perfect if you want something that heats up reasonable quickly (~10 min) and is super easy. Way better than dealing with the cleaning mess with any fully automatic. I would have gone for a separate grinder/machine combo, but my wife loves how easy it is to make her latte when she's getting the kids ready in the morning.
I just got a Gaggia Velasca Prestige and it has been great. Around $800
OP if you have the cash…go for what you love! Coffee is an everyday thing so I think it’s absolutely justified to spend what you want. Enjoy!
Wait a minute, you’re saying I could make a profit on my 4 yr old Breville Barista Pro? I also bought it for about $550 😂
Yes, I bought it for 484 and now its price is 700, so sold it for 600 since i had all the manuals, boxes and packaging- seemed too new to the buyer 😊
Marzocco or go home!
More like $5k+ though. Guess one can dream 😄
Linea mini can be found for around $5k.
Still incredibly expensive, but probably more reliable than cheaper options on the market.
I’d like to get one a some point, but will probably be another couple of years.
I have a terrakaffe I am a fan not as manual as some of the others but makes a great cup of coffee
Chief
Philips automatic espresso machine is my dream machine (can range from 599-999 depending on the model)
Nothing like an old skoolncharm of turning the knobs
I also recommend the rocket. It's beautiful lol
Got both of them for under 2 grand.
