I am a Principal Solutions Architect with 13 YOE of which 5 years exp is with Biotech focusing on Public Cloud (AWS) & overall AWS exp. 9 years. I need suggestions /opinions if applying for a Senior Solutions Architect (Level6) at AWS makes sense or if I should aim for a Principal SA (level 7) role at AWS with Healthcare & Lifesciences industry experience. If it makes any difference, I worked for AWS ProServe as an external SA in the past. Any insights / feedback appreciated.

I am so deeply proud of you for seeking help and prioritizing your own well-being. Sending you light and a kind path moving forward
Thank you. Took a while. Sending much light back!
Congrats to you on taking that step. Honestly I’ve been wrangling some difficult mental health issues myself, and this post is pushing me to make an appointment. You rock. Thank you ❤️
Thank you for the encouragement and heart warming words! Honestly, I don’t know why I didn’t do it before, all I can say is I’m just glad to be addressing it now and working on it with professional help. Sending all my encouragement and much strength your way for your journey ♥️
Oh hi. It’s me again. The meds are working. I feel so much more hopeful and optimistic.
I am calm, at ease, joyful, even dare I say…happy.
Professional help was a game changer for me, and it’s brought on a ton of good things into my life.
I am grateful I faced my issues head on.
Thank you to everyone for the encouraging words and wishes, I was in a really dark place and I finally feel normal after god knows how long.
If you’re reading this, book the appointment. It’s scary, but it’s scarier to go through life sad and depressed. Meds are not a magic solution, there’s also been a lot of personal work involved; but damn, do they help.
❤️❤️❤️
I deal with those same issues and can honestly say that getting on the right medication, and weekly talk therapy turned my life around. It truly saved me and I’m so much happier and better than I ever thought I would be. I’m really happy for you and this journey, it’s all up from here!
Thank you thank you. It makes me joyful to hear you say that. I’m glad you had that positive experience and can attest to it, helps me and others see things a little less gloomy at this stage. I’m positive about getting helped and treatment and working through my issues with psychotherapy as well, i’ve given too much time to my symptoms and it’s time now to get better. I’m happy for you Account Executive 1. Thank you for sharing
Sending love and strength! Congrats on making the first step, I hope you start to feel a weight lifted from your shoulders
Welcome ❤️ I started meds a few years ago. Working with my therapist has been life changing. You’re not alone!
I’m proud of you and happy to hear ♥️♥️♥️
Sending love to you OP!
I was diagnosed with high functioning depression last year and have also had a difficult time "accepting" my diagnosis but have found a lot of relief in regular therapy, a commitment to exercise and moving my body and reducing alcohol intake.
Congratulations on seeking help :)
Glad to hear you’re putting yourself and your well-being first. I don’t know where you work, but you may be entitled to short term disability leave. It’s an option that often gets overlooked - whether from perceived stigma, or general lack of awareness, but it can be extremely beneficial for mental health. It’s something to consider if you feel like you could use a couple weeks or months to put more of your energy into your recovery. Wishing you well❤️
This is super helpful! I’m considering it and will look into it. Thank you ♥️
I’m with you on this one. Just had my first therapy session yesterday. I’ve talked friends into seeing therapists before and truly believe therapy is good for everyone, yet struggled so hard to do it for myself. Anyways, you’re not alone. Wishing you the best and congrats on getting over the biggest hurdle!
100% relate to this. In my 30s I was INSISTENT I did not have depression. I thought people would think I was weird and I'd never find a partner. Well, at age 40 I got diagnosed and it was such a relief to finally face it. I have now been taking a low dose antidepressant for a decade and, while it is not a cure-all, it sure takes the edge off. Things that used to send me spiraling, I bounce back more quickly. Anyway, I'm really happy you are moving forward with optimism, not shame or any other unwarranted negative feeling. <3
