I’ve been applying for jobs periodically at The Walt Disney Company for eight years now… 🐭
“Persistence and keep applying” is usually the advice from most Disney recruiters.
I’ve had connection phone calls with several employees via LinkedIn outreach, but having trouble getting to the right department for an actual referral.
I am SO excited about my recent job application for Corporate Social Responsibility, would appreciate a referral and/or some advice! Thanks in advance!
Rye sampler tonight 🥃. Cheers everyone!
Reach out to the company for feedback and next steps. Show your interest and excitement. Dont apply for other opportunities in the same company discuss them during your next round of interviews.
Thank you! It’s great to receive this advice from someone with experience in large companies. I appreciate it!
Do you think the subs have independent HR teams? If so, apply away
Sorry I think I didn't explain that clearly. I had applied to two similar positions within the same subsidiary. Then the recruiter posted a brand new job and closed the two I applied for, but emailed me and said that they got my resume from the two jobs that they closed and that I should apply to this new one bc I would be good for it and that they want to interview me. So I applied and did that first interview. And after they told me they will get back to me within two weeks.. It's only been a few days. But they keep posting other positions in the other similar subsidiaries, so while I wait I was wondering if I should apply to those in case I some get this position, to not waste the chance.
I would wait to finish your current interview. If that does not work out then apply for the other positions. Becasue, you can use this as a learning experience for other interviews.
