Always establish the shared goal before stating your case. Let your boss know you're both working towards the team's success regardless of your different opinions. Once that is established, communicate your reasoning vis-a-vis these goals or company KPIs

I like your take on this matter. We're bound to come up against people with whom we disagree, but it's important to remember what your end goal is: making things better for the team as a whole.

Realize you can only manage *your* reaction. It's more productive to think of your own behavior, as opposed to theirs (since you can't control it).

Remember your value and what you have to offer. Sometimes we just have to tolerate others in order to be successful

Hi! Looking for a Luxury purse (not laptop bag) that my girl can drag her work laptop around in? She’s currently using a Large Prada top handle bag. Laptop is about 13.5” x 10”. I also tried getting her the Prada men’s purse type bag, but she didn’t care for the double zippers on top. Also doesn’t like totes. Any ideas?

American born woman with a very western mentality. 4-5 times in my career, have managed older Indian men (“conservative upbringings in the US and India) and have had a lot of issues where they have not wanted to take direction from me, flat out ignored me, and completely undermined me. (I know not all Indian men, but it is a pattern and I am not the only woman to experience it.)

In all the work I’ve done this new Snr. PM comes in minimizing my Black Female voice & basically pushing me in an assistant role. I spoke to my boss & was getting gaslighted. In any case right after I was on a briefing & Snr. PM starts making all sorts of promises & speaking about what’s going to happen not remembering what actually happens on the ground. I snapped/said let’s confirm with said parties & not promise the team this can happen. Was more RemyMa, less Claire Huxtable. Feeling like💩

Hi Everyone, I’m currently actively interviewing/searching for CoS positions and encountered a situation that requires finessing. When COVID lockdown started I took a job that was entry level & was underemployed bc at the time I wanted to prevent professional atrophy while I waited to see how things would play out. Now, it appears as though I’m being passed over by recruiters bc my last position does not reflect the 10+yrs of senior administrative management experience I have. Any suggestions?

I'm American, but my family is mostly Colombian. I was told my aunt and cousins would come here for 2 weeks. But of course, it's all fake and payed 😂 turns out she wanted me to go there (even though I don't work for that TV network) so she's sure she'll be paid at the end of the show. Wth did I just do.
