I am currently an analyst at my company and interviewing at Facebook (Meta) at the end of the month. I’m a bit nervous / looking for ways to prepare because it would be an amazing opportunity. Does anyone have any tips or different ways that I can prepare for the process? It is for a Risk Assessment Investigator role (very similar to what I do now).

Pie charts should be a sackable offense
Ah, good old “discretionary”. It’s usually followed with, “The full amount of your bonus will be forfeited should you be terminated from your position for any reason” - here’s hoping they didn’t think that far ahead!
Can you find out when the payroll submission deadline is for the last payroll of the year?
Is there any provision in the bonus that states you must be currently employed to get it. If they don’t pay you out quit on the spot. Put in you notice on Jan 3.
Nah, I think it’s a valid question, being in HR. Someone could theoretically ask you about it.

Depending on how large the bonus is, I would not be surprised if they release you under the guise of being slow during the holidays and to "let you spend time with friends and family."
Is it worth pushing your start date?
Thank you! I actually pushed my start date from first week of January to the second week
I’ve seen where the employer expects you to be on payroll the day the bonus is paid out. Can you explain the situation to your new job and ask to push back your start date? I’ve also seen where the new company has matched the bonus with a sign on bonus just to get the person to not delay their start date. You could see if this is an option. You’re so close to receiving your bonus, I’d hate to see you lose it over a few days. It’s such a double edged sword, if you wait until you receive the bonus now you’re not giving enough notice but if you put your two weeks in you run the risk of them making that your last day. I hope they do right by you in the end.
Thank you so much!
So how did it go, OP? Were you able to get your year end bonus?
Better safe than sorry if you don't see anything about this in your employment contract. Don't put your notice in yet.
Depending on where you live, this could already be considered "earned," but how hard are you willing to fight if they find some reason to withhold?
Get the bonus, then give notice.

When are you suppose to start the new gig?
Maybe ask the new employer to push out the start date. Everyone this time of year knows bonuses start being paid and they’ll not want you to miss out. Or there’s the chance they’ll say they will give you a sign on of the amount of your bonus with a claw back. Good luck!
If your still employed you should still receive.
Oooh I would check with HR. That could go either way really.
