Follow the flow and seek other opportunities. Your compensation could be below current market value. Reach out and connect with your former colleagues and see if the culture / wlb / and career opportunities are better. You won’t know until you ask.

Me and most of my team recently left a company. We all found 100% remote jobs with better flexibility and benefits, including compensation. It really depends why you would want to leave, but there are many places hiring that are offering better WLB, etc. If you’re happy, then there’s no reason to look. But it can also feel grim knowing there’s no one else left. Does your company have trouble recruiting new people? And also retaining talent elsewhere?

So far 2 out of 4 more money. I'm in 100% remote and WLB is amazing. They are also paying for my CPA designation. I wish they could entertain my teams offers. But I also think it's good promotions as well. Not a lot of that going around... :/

It means that your team members are expendable and it costs less in long run to bring in newer cheaper talent. If they worth keeping, offers would have been matched or entertained anyway.

Anyone else realize yet that the Wealthsimple forced transfer to Betterment means we need to pay “taxable events” either now or within the year? Brutal. We should be compensated for the tax cost.

My company is bleeding talent! I took up a PM role 3 months ago at a not-so-hot smaller tech company. When I joined there were 8 PMs. Today, 6 of those have quit and 3 of those are in the past 3 weeks. We’ve hired 3 more since I joined. I haven’t built deep enough relationships here to probe about their reasons for leaving, but I’m really concerned. The company is undergoing many changing priorities and acquisitions in play which definitely could be why. What would you do in my shoes?

Is there anybody really into budgeting who has a some good tangible goals for those newer to budgeting/saving? Other than maxing out 401k and having an emergency fund, what are some small goals (that would take maybe 3-6 months) we can work towards? We let spending get out of control during covid and want to be intentional about getting back on track. Husband and I both do better with something concrete to work towards. We already have a house and are on an aggressive loan repayment schedule.
