My ex works for four seasons so I asked him to put in a request for the family and friends rate at the FS in my city for NYE weekend with my friends and current SO 👀 We’ve both moved on, are friendly and on good terms now, but I told him after we broke up that the least he could do after breaking my heart was hook me up with those hotel stays - it’s the alimony 😂

This is so wholesome and uplifting to read. I get a family discount for all Marriott hotels and I love my current SO so much that if something happened between us I could see myself doing this for them.

Aw that’s so good to hear! Yes there’s definitely exes that are not meant to stay in your life in any capacity, but some you still have love for in a different way even after a breakup. If I could ever assist him or his family with anything, I wouldn’t hesitate.

Just giving a bit of Gyan to fellow fishers Please please do not ever use CTC comparison between current and next company. If you get an offer, do an in hand calculation. Some companies add Retirals like Employer PF, Gratuity along with Insurance, furniture allowance as part of your CTC. Others don't. Sone also have higher variable package. So when you do a CTC delta you may get a 20% hike but when you discount the above things you will fall short and may end up making less. So choose wisely.

Should I have a second child? I met my husband later in life at 37 yo. We had our first when I was 39. I thought I was good with just one as I was never someone who really wanted kids but I know my husband would love to have another and now that I have one I think about her having a sibling. I’ll be 41 in March so we need to start now. I love the ease and flexibility of one child and she’s been such good baby. I’m worried that if we have another I’ll regret it. I’m also about to start a new job.

Has anyone here gotten pregnant with someone they were dating vs married to? Can you share your experience? Is that still frowned upon in 2022? I know culture also comes into play for some. Especially those with professional careers etc. It seems like the whole first comes love then comes marriage and baby thing is still standard. Does it really have to be though? Especially if you're in your 30s.

Anyone not looking forward to Black History Month? It’s has become so performative that I honestly ignore it.
