I’m starting to feel so hopeless and depressed. My job (that I’m thankful to have) keeps me busy 14+ hours a day. I’ve basically abandoned my kids and it’s lord of the flies over here. I can’t keep up. I’m tired and there is no end in sight. I don’t really know what to do.

Additional Posts in Women in Tech

Hello, All! I'm looking for recommendations on inspirational content for women leaders. I follow TEDWomen, many podcasts, and the Women's Conference among other sources. I'd love to hear a fresh perspective on business, trends, tech, marketing, equality in the workforce, etc. I'd love to learn something new. I'm at the VP level and have started a couple of companies, so nothing too junior, but open to many topics. Please share any speakers, books, webinars, or events that you may come across.

I'm 30 and looking for some recommendations on which facial should I take. Recently I observed some lining near my lips area. Avoiding any chemical treatment right now.

I've always been asked why I found a "proper" job at my 30s and wasted my years in unrelated jobs like call centers and inhouse calls for installing Windows.

I can't seem to make them understand that in 2008, it was impossible to find an IT job in Greece as a woman. I had certifications and knowledge but I couldn't even get a callback. I would send the same CV as a man, and they would call immediately.

Now things are different but still this question comes up and I'm struggling to answer it.

Did you ever juggle 2 full-time jobs at once? How did it go?

Hi ladies, looking for some advice. One of the male team members who has been in the organization for a while has been deliberately withholding information, volunteering my name behind my back for projects he doesn't want, assigning me tasks. This is draining me emotionally and I have been feeling really frustrated. Should I bring it up with the team manager, confront this coworker directly or ignore the problem. Please advise.

I have an amazing idea to optimize the talent, recruiting and retention space. What is the best platform to find skilled developers, designers, etc to find amazing talent to help build out this idea? There are plenty of tools out there but they don’t do what I want to create. Would love some women power here!

Who based in North America is looking for a business development role?

Intersted in learning amd getting certified in UX Design and Research. Any UX Designers here that could share their journey? Recommendations, What to avoid? What’s worked? Etc.

When FAANG companies are hiring for UX Design positions do they count all of your general design YOE or only the YOE in a UX role ?

Has anyone else had it where you'll have an idea which will be rejected, and then only once suggested again by the male, more senior designer or by the product manager himself afterwards then it's actually valid? Just something I noticed and never thought anything of until now

We talk a lot about things that are not good at companies, what are some things that make a company a great place to be and worth staying at? 💚

Any WIT in Boston? I'm interviewing for a really exciting opportunity in downtown and would be relocating there after it's safe. Would love to hear about any groups or resources!

Bonus points for intersectionality and welcoming of LGBT individuals (I'm a gender non-conforming butch lesbian). Bonus bonus points for a group that isn't all white.

Also where should I be looking to live? I heard Boston has a lot of racism issues and is very segregated...

Anyone work at Amount? How was your interview process?

I hate to quit my job as a software developer without another job lined up but I have my reasons behind it. Ive had panic attacks and bad anxiety within the last few months, hard time sleeping at night, I am not happy and I have frequent headaches. I've also been told some people aren't meant to be engineers, says my manager. I have less than 2 years of experience but I'm wondering what would you do in my situation? Would you leave tech or stay in a similar role? Or take a short break?

I'm a data scientist with a Master's in analytics, experience in the field and am in a new contractor role in an office where I thought I would be doing DS work. I am pitching ideas for new analytics and models, but I essentially get told that they like my idea and to talk to "Bob" so he can implement it, but they want me to write up why it will bring value. How do I get this to stop. I want to be writing the code, not just the justification. Do I start the work before pitching?

So I just got layed off for the first time ever.
Literally two hours ago. Anyone have any advice of what to do in the first 48 hours?
I think I’m just in shock

Hi ladies, I am nearly at the point where I want to start having kids. However, I have made a career change somewhat recently (about 1.5 years ago) so I am not really experienced in the tech industry. Would having kids be detrimental at this point in my career (is it always detrimental)? Has anyone had experience of having a big career in Tech and being a mum? Any tips or advice?
Note: I do have a very supportive husband but his work is not very flexible necessarily.
