When does it make sense for a company to adopt a management structure where managers are in the field but also has direct reports (player coach model) vs. managers whose sole responsibility is to manage the team (I.e., no longer in the field)?

Deloitte leadership is acting like a baby who wants the lollipop. I agree that working from an office has its advantages. But, post WFH era, they need to understand that people love and want that flexibility of working from any location. I mean calling employees back to base location is just gonna cost well being of some employees. Those who want to work from office should feel comfortable working from office. Same should be for those who are more productive with WFH option.
Does anybody have a good (or even bad) 30 minute sitcom type show that they watch? I miss the days of modern family, big bang, how I met your mother, the office, parks and rec, etc... I need an easy/corny show to watch
Would anyone be interested in participating in a research study? The only requirements are to be a school district employee and have a child in the district with special needs. Please help!!!

Great quote form Mimi Slater of @cosbar on motherhood and work: “I don’t think my career path has changed because I became a mother. But, I think my approach to work has changed for the better. I didn’t realize how hard it would be to leave a 12-week-old at home, but I’m so glad I forced myself to get to work in those early days. It took me a while to get back into the swing of things, but now I think that being a mother is a total asset in the workplace. I don’t waste a minute of my workday. I’m better at juggling priorities, and I think I’m more empathetic, certainly towards other working parents.”
Headed for divorce and will most likely be raising my child alone. How can I be a good mother and have a successful career at the same time? Thank you!
Graduated law school, passed the bar, and started my job last summer. My wife and I got pregnant with our first sooner than we expected, and we're due in June. Any general tips/advice?
I just received notification my laptop shipped! 😱 I feel like a kid in a candy store! I start my new position in one week and am equally petrified and excited.

Was told about this bowl by a fellow fish. 25F convinced I have undiagnosed adhd. Anyone get on meds later in life vs as a kid? I always had a billion micro thoughts but now it’s ten times worse
Any parents who are still on the safe side with Covid? We have a 1 year old and being safe and staying mostly home is really getting to me. Most of our friends have kids who are able to mask up or are vaccinated and it’s getting quite isolating. Especially now mask mandates are being lifted feeling like we can’t go anywhere without risking our kid.
So I started a new job in March and also got pregnant the same month. The new job is at a small firm and they never had a pregnancy so they do not have policies in place. Who do I tell? There’s one head admin person, two named partners one of which is generally MIA. So nervous about it.
How have people dealt with COVID and kids? I got COVID last week and had to keep baby home from daycare. Now they have COVID and have to stay home for at least another week. My husband barely worked last week and I can’t imagine another case week with a baby at home. I’m a C if that helps. I’m so overwhelmed and not sure what to do.
Happy Saturday! All week 3 challenges due by 9pm to qualify for prizes! Here's a final GUESS WHO for the wk. This person auditioned for Up With People when he/she was 20 and was selected to tour around the world with them for a year. He/She would perform for groups and events held at the civic center solo, as a child. He/She would sing and dance at these events. He/She also won 1st place state UIL in poetry reading. This person loves to "roll" with whatever comes his/her way!

I'm from Asia, currently in the US, and I want to do entrepreneurship (not sure about location yet, can be US, Asia, or EU) in the long run, short run can be consulting or data-related roles (I have some tech background). I'm considering between Darden and IESE. Which option do you think is better?
I have a crazy thought for the next shib and doge. TKing. I saw this coin on Tokensniffer and threw $350 into it. I pulled half when I saw it go up to $7,500 and then ended up pulling the other half when that hit $8,00. The mcap is now $125m and my initial would have been worth $100k. With Tiger King 2 coming out this may moon.
Hey all. I have worked in Sales for 13+ years & due to the pandemic started working at Dell for the government… to try something different. However, I realized my heart is in sales and want to get back into it. I have 10+ years in a management role and looking to connect and find more opportunities. Sales Enablement/Training, Training Facilitator, sales Management, etc. I am trying to stay in Big Tech/start 🆙Preferably remote but either in NYC or the Austin area as I have homes in both states.
My team is great and includes me in activities, like dep prep, in which I’m unlikely to contribute hugely given that I’m a junior. But how can I get over feeling completely useless during such activities? I get really anxious and feel like I’m not contributing/wasting the firm’s money

More people have started wearing masks around the office after this but the partner that sent the email hasn’t been. How am I supposed to know if we actually should we wearing masks or not when it’s not required?
