M1 , official wait is 150 yrs. So please plan to be there. planning for 100 yrs won't cut it. Sometimes i really wonder what i can really use green card when i get it in 2170. I am not hoping to work 150 yrs from now. May be i can use it to get some social security benefits and travel the world. I am thinking to visit Mexico first

Wow congratulations. Care to weigh in why you and your husband choose New York over UK or rest of EU? It seems to me it’s much a better lifestyle over the Atlantic if you don’t care much about American dream or other fluffty fluff. Quite a while ago I moved to UK when US kicked me to UK since I didn’t get H1b lottery. Had a great year there before UK kicked me back to the US because of similar reasons.
Brit here. OP’s reasons resonated with us too. Money good. Work hard. Weather nice. Caribbean in the winter. Immigration is awful though. But the UK is not what it once was sadly.

Yeah 2035 is when my daughter will age out at 21 so hoping against hope that we will get the GC by then. 😂

I’m sorry guys, I know I’m fortunate to have a current PD. For what it’s worth though this has been pretty much a seven year journey for me and my husband.
