How do you ask for a raise when you know you're not getting paid the average salary wage? I've been reworking for the company for 4.5 years.

Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. Should I stay it out and wait for TC to align or take the promotion and jump ship bc I will likely get paid more elsewhere given how recruiters/other companies eat up hiring recently promoted ppl from other firms?

My work recently gave everyone that holds the same title a big bump in compensation. A few days later, another email went out stating they had made a mistake which decreased the raise by $4/hr instead of $6 increase. Can they do that? I work for the government and can’t imagine how they made an error. This email went out to hundreds of employees.

Got an offer for Atlassian Canada - senior product manager. Initial offer is 160k base +15% annual bonus (24k) + 20k sign on bonus. RSU is 220k USD payable over next 4 years. There's no RRSP match (401k match equivalent). Considering its Atlassian, and current market rate, I think base is low. I would like it to be bumped upto to 180k. The recruiter earlier said the top of the pay range is 165k, which I feel is not really top but maybe median? Help me negotiate please; historically suck at it.

I am a junior biglaw lit associate who is extremely extroverted. Unfortunately, I’m realizing that so far litigation hasn’t been as great for extroverts as advertised. Lateraled as a third year from a firm where I was usually the junior person on teams to a firm where I’m fully treated as a midlevel. Some of the work is new to me, my juniors are usually first years whose work needs to be redone and the seniors/partners are entirely unresponsive and/or uninvolved. I am completely overwhelmed. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice?
