My firm is having a big conference with hundreds of people. There is going to be lots of mingling and the attorneys are expected to give presentations to the entire crowd and also to smaller groups. I am fully vaccinated but need to avoid getting COVID because of preexisting (but invisible) conditions. I just learned that attorneys are expected to remove their masks while presenting. I do not want to face blowback from management but also want to protect my health. What should I do?

My goal since early 2020 was to hit $100k NW by Dec 2021. It’s going to be March 2022 and I’m at $86k 😔 It’s mostly due to healthcare-related bills I didn’t anticipate.

I’ve been helping couples navigate the challenges of infertility for over 20 years now. Recently, I’ve noticed more couples feeling apprehensive to continue treatment because they are worried about potential repercussions if they miscarry during the IVF process. Honestly, I’m not sure how to reassure them because I also feel afraid, but I just want to continue supporting these wonderful couples & families. I would be heartbroken if they ended up suffering more because of their treatments. I’m just feeling so conflicted & sad today after meeting with a couple who decided to postpone treatment.

I got a resignation acknowledgement email the next day, but after that, nothing. Is there any intermediate step I'm missing out on? Or do we simply sit ducks till they reach out?

I have been working my tail off since coming back to work after a parental leave (which my boss was not happy or impressed about me taking) to get back in good standing. Today was my bi-annual review and the partners left me such glowing reviews it left me in tears to see that my hard work to both be there for my family and make it in my career has been noticed 😭

I am interested in moving to another state and realized that this state has one of the most restrictive reciprocity rules in the country. I've passed multiple bar exams. However, I won't get any credit for time I worked in CA because CA isn't reciprocal. I swore I'd never take another bar after taking CA - and now I have to take another exam if we move. I worked in big law in CA for two years and get no credit! Yet the exam has been waived for new grads for COVID. It sure limits our move.
