My firm is made up of mostly women - Today I found out we have an entire cabinet in the kitchen stocked with tampons, midol, and a year’s supply of chocolate. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I've got my personal drawer and have come to be the one in the office people come to. As an aside, I also use my tampon boxes to hide snacks because the guys tend to help themselves.

I think my firm has something similar on a smaller scale. Most women I know definitely have a personal drawer stash for that time of the month + 5 pairs of shoes and other snacks in their desk area at all times

My firm is only women (attorneys and staff). Fully stocked bathroom, nice hand soap/lotion, chocolate and tea in every office, office blankets everywhere, and a booze cabinet in the kitchen. There are plenty of problems, but lack of PMS support is not one.

Where is this magical place and are they looking for corporate associates 🤣🤣🤣

We have a machine in the ladies’ room with free supplies. Free Midol and snacks are in the kitchen.

like

No but that’s awesome! I’m in an in-house team that is majority women but the company is majority male and pretty much an old boys club. I’m sure they’d freak if they saw tampons and midol.

like

We had to restock, our office manager ordered a huge bottle of midol - the founding partner opened the box and audibly cried out 😂 the whole office laughed for 20 minutes

like

That’s nice.

Love this!

LOVE chocolate!

Are the women with whom you work supportive? I worked with one female partner who had a track record of harassing female associates.

That’s fantastic.

(I imagine given the available supplies)

We have horrible generic cardboard-applicator tampons in the women’s bathrooms. I’ve thought about asking for an upgrade but not sure who to ask.

That’s is fantastic!

My firm has a tampon vending machine in the women’s bathroom with overpriced generic products- a quarter each.

This sounds amazing! I just have tampons and midol in my drawer but I’m inspired to stock up on some chocolate now too.

Can you name the firm? And the chocolate snacks? I love chocolate, I wish my office had more. I don’t bring much to avoid having to share with grubby coworkers (we sit in an open space and I have nowhere to hide a stash).

That's brilliant

I have a lot of student debt from law school. I’ve refinanced a couple of times and received the best fixed rate available, but I’ve seen others refinance with a variable rate which of course is lower. I’ve read some other comments of people refinancing at a super low variable rate....isn’t this risky? Of course I am afraid of going variable and then the interest rates going up a lot. Am I missing something?
