Just finished The Choice by Dr Edith Eger, Holocaust survivor and currently a psychologist. Her amazing approach to life has really turned around my 2020 thinking. It's the most uplifting book I've read all year.

If you haven't read it, highly recommend. If you have, would love to hear your take.

Anyone else *not* surprised that Bros flopped at the Box Office? I think it’s considered one of the worst openings ever. There are so many things you could’ve done with an all-LBGT+ cast, but you resorted to a movie centered around two meh white guys obsessed with physical appearance and sex. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

My family and I want to move from Florida to the Seattle area in 5 years. My husband is in Aerospace Engineering. We both love nature, hiking, and rock climbing. We prefer cool rain over sunshine, miss seeing the seasons, and love to cook.
Any advice, Pros VS Cons, anything to look out for ?
Thank you in advance!

Murderville on Netflix maybe one of the best shows I have ever seen. Ever. Granted, I'm a big Will Arnette fan, but the unscripted guest star thing is awesome. Marshawn Lynch rocked it.

Honeymoon planning: how are y'all accounting for COVID for honeymoon trips? I'm getting married in October and we want to go to Argentina... which is not letting any foreign nationals in right now and doesn't have an estimated date to reopen (that I've seen). Stuck between booking somewhere else that is already open, like Greece, or buying refundable flights to Argentina anyway and pushing the honeymoon back if necessary. Anyone else dealing with this? Any advice?

Just scheduled a meeting to go over an offer for a Senior Engineer role. When asked what I would need to make in order to leave my current job, I said at least $160k depending on benefits (I know I shouldn't have given a number).

I make a little over $145k now, plus stock options, a monthly home office stipend (fully remote), and your usual health benefits.

Assuming their benefits are comparable to my current position, have I given up all negotiation power by providing the initial number?

Is carbon steel supposed to look like this? I’ve seasoned, reseasoned, wash with mild soap and water, dry it over the stove, avoid cooking acidic foods in it and it still looks like this. It used to be way blotchy before but it has gotten darker on the bottom and has gradually moved its way up.

I don’t know if I’m doing it right. I’m used to the black patina of cast iron.

I am finding the Instagram foodie culture strange and annoying. I’m getting a flood of likes and followers daily because they want you to like all their posts and follow them to up their count. There’s an unspoken etiquette where you are obligated to do the same thing. So I do it. I just want to cook, take pics of my food, and write about it to have a collection of what I make in one place. Sheesh! Rant over! 😁
