Agree, it’s getting more and more competitive to get into tech these days and all the nice cushy jobs just go to experienced people who bounce around companies in the industry snagging comp bumps like candy near the checkout line
Agreed. Your friend needs to really consider the changes rippling through consulting and then business world at large. He/she can always pivot to a startup and wear multiple hats that way, but leaving tech (esp if they have perishable technical skills) for business would generally not be a smart move.
I fought this battle for a 3 years. Eventually I gave in and realized tech is part of business and will only become more important.

So any coach recommendations out there? I should’ve clarified his role in tech is in sales so no perishable skills/higher-than-consulting salary there...
