My friend just had a baby. I want to get her some meals for the next few weeks, so she doesn't have to worry about cooking. Any ideas?

What area is she in? If there’s not a great meal delivery service you’re aware of, you can always do GrubHub gift card or prepared meals from the grocery store and drop off to her doorstep. My grocery store has great pre-made meals that are heat & eat with no prep involved.

North Dallas

Door dash/grubhub is a great gift unless you plan on making personalized meals. If in person, our neighbor dropped off some veggie soup that probably saved our lives lol. I don't usually like soup, but having something already cooked and just needing a little heating was a life saver at odd hours.

How about a fresh direct order? Basics like coffee, milk, fruit, etc, plus pre-made meals. Or just ask her what she wants and place/pay for the order. Sentiment goes out the window in these situations, its so much more helpful to just ask what they want and then make it happen.

Steven Yeun starred in a movie titled Minari - about Korean American first generation immigrants (and the second generation child) settling in rural America. Not sure if it is released yet but the preview seemed very interesting. I thought it was more interesting because they did not choose the coastal areas for this movie.

Hi moms. I’m 8 weeks pregnant. My husband told his parents about it today. They reacted in the worst possible way! They asked what I was thinking and that he should talk to me about getting the baby aborted!! This baby wasn’t unplanned in any way. We really wanted a second child and glad that it happened without needing any interventions. I’m really mad right now! And just their words are making me cry! I expect 0 help from them to start with. But don’t need this negativity right now.

My father apptly invited my cousin to thanksgiving. The cousin who took my baby name bc she “wasn’t sure it would get used given ‘my situation” and “wanted to make sure it got used since it’s such a beautiful name.” So I guess I’m having dinner across from a 7 month old baby with my dream baby’s name. Super weird to resent an infant on thanksgiving, but that’s where we are..
