That’s sweet of you. How about a basket of fun and/or luxurious beauty products and a nice bathrobe. Nordstrom rack may have some affordable ones on sale.

Oh yeah—a beautiful plant would be nice!

My friends sent me the following that really helped 1. alcohol - lost my taste buds so it was fun to just chug tequila - probs don't do this though 2. the most comfy pjs / robe/ soft blanket 3. food delivery subscription 4. board games 5. massage oils/ bath products / gift basket

Love suggestions 2-4. Those are really great ideas.

Maybe hold off on the gifting until they’re past symptoms and (presumed) carrier time so people delivering won’t be exposed? An alternative might be digital gifting like a month subscription to HBO or something

A mix of practical and pampering stuff. BA1 has some good pampering ideas. So on the practical side, you could get food delivered/gift them an ubereats voucher or something. I’m sure their bodies don’t feel up to cooking

Grocery delivery gift cards and something fun! A book or a cozy blanket

I'm so thankful that EY has not made the Covid19 Vaccination a condition of employment and they allow work from home to remain an option. Such a great employer. I don't want the government or my employer to dictate what happens to my body, we must always have freedom of choice. That is one of the things that makes US a wonderful place to live. To all who received the vaccine I'm happy you had that option. I will wait a few years until there is enough vaccine data before I put it in my body.

Anyone have menstrual complications after their covid vaccine so bad they ended up calling their doctors? What did they do for you? I have had my period for 6 weeks straight after the covid vaccine. I worked with my doctor for YEARS to get my cycle and body where it needed to be (endometriosis) and have been on a pill so things were finally consistent and going great until the shot. I am miserable, scared and in pain. Just need to know I’m not the only one and things will get better.

Does anyone have any thoughts about a company terminating an employee within the HR team for testing positive for COVID 19 and further accusing the said employee of being the one that created the entire team to become infected by not answering the health screening questions accurately? The week prior to employee being tested the entire team was in the office sick. The company in question weeks prior wrote the employee up referencing sexual innuendo due to an accusation of a preferred name.

I secured a 2-year lease on my luxury studio during covid but am looking to transfer it to someone new around the 1-year mark (moving in with SO). Would it be reasonable to ask the new tenant to split the penalty with me (we each pay $2400) since they get to keep the low rent rate that I secured? The studio is back at market price now (~$1200 more than my current rent).

I need help: In consulting interviews, is it a death sentence to have been part of the COVID-related layoffs at a Big 4 strategy arm? I have now been rejected from two other T2 strategy firms, and apparently the feedback is that “I have great experience” but they “are not moving forward with my candidacy”. I’m getting beaten down here. I have 10 years consulting experience, 7 at health plans, 5 in strategy, and 3 as a manager. I know my industry, function, and story. What am I missing?

How long does it usually take to hear back from Deloitte after your final round of interviews?

like

Over the last year I’ve had 4 separate interview cycles where after the final round I’ve gotten “you had all strong feedback but the team went with the other candidate.” It’s really insulting to hear these companies say that there isn’t enough qualified black candidates but have your own experience show you that you can do everything right but still you don’t get the offer due to not looking the part I guess
