Good lord - a couple of months back, someone I know started at a company I’d left in 2022. They sent me a photo of their laptop screen with me speaking to the positive working environment and engaged management as part of the onboarding videos - I think it was recorded just before Covid, also known as 3 CEOs and a complete turnover of senior leadership ago. Celebrating an individual who is subjected to involuntary leave is a kick in the a** on their way out the door. This type of gesture makes others feel better about the situation but rarely serves the individual. It’s just tacky.
